I think they gimped that feature after someone abused the feature. There was a work around, but that was disabled too.

Yeah, like Mop it up, Dasmos, and Hypotheliciously to name a few. I don't know what the story is behind that. I don't think I've ever tried to have an animated avatar before. Still, great thread bump. Such a classic when we cared about our avatars more.
