Sales of the game for the first week peg JSS around 220000....I thought pre-orders alone were over 300k?

Awesome system sales tho.

Jump Superflop is flopping around. The latest daily sales charts have Adult Brain Training ahead of JSS. It's great to see 2 GC games selling so consistantly well.

Brain Training is tough competition, It single handedly beats every PSP game released on a weekly basis.

yeah, I dont think that the price drop + Nintendogs wont sky rocket sales in NA, and even if that doesnt work, theres always a pokemon game.

Well DS is selling more units in a week in Japan than it is in a month in the US, and that's in a country with far less people. Hopefully DS gets a boost in the US soon, Nintendogs might be the ticket.

At GC Nintendo said "over 1 million". Doesn't sound like it's doing too well but then again it was launched here last.

Well, in Japan it's just reaching the 3 million mark and they had the added benefit of launching around Christmas.    I think 1 million in Europe is respectable.
That's my opinion, not yours.

R U ready for this news?  Its Nintendogs US sales for its first week.

Kotaku.com
Quote

The numbers are in and people really do love Nintendogs. The DS-only puppy simulator sold about 250,000 copies in its first week, according to Nintendo. Tendo goes on to say that the game is both America’s hottest selling video game and the best-selling new game franchise ever to hit a portable system.

Nearly 15 percent of all DS owners bought Nintendogs in just a week, a virtually unprecedented adoption rate for any title on an established system. And it’s also helping sell new DS hardware. Coupled with a price drop to $129.99, retailers are reporting DS sales up between one and a half and three times previous levels, and last week DS comfortably outsold our portable competitors

I guess those commercials hit their intended targeted audience afterall.

p.s. what were the Japanese #'s for this game?

edit: already posted on the main page

from someone reliable
Quote

Nintendogs in the US sold 220,000 units in the first 5 days. - Dachshund sold the most with 85,000 - with Lab Retriever selling 70,000 and Chihuahua selling about 65,000.

DS Hardware went from 17,000 the previous week to 50,000 the week of Nintendogs' launch.
