I am up for a Wednesday meet up Stratos.
Maxi is dead. I killed him and took his posts and changed genders.

I've noticed that fossils have been very hard to come by lately. When i used to play daily, i'd get my three fossils and a couple of those droid things every single day. Now after picking the game back up after months of not playing.. i see none!
I read on GameFAQs that gyroids appear only after it rains. Perhaps there's something specific which triggers fossils as well?

I'm not adorable?  :'(
Not so much. If I had to describe you in one word, it would be "gruff".

Gruff? Like Scruff MacGruff the crime-watch dog?

Gruff doesn't strike me as a positive thing.

Wednesday... may not be so good. We'll see. Real LifeTM may interfere.

Met up with some friend of a friend that I haven't seen in a while, and noticed their coconut trees stretched pretty far back. I say it was about half-way between the shore and the next incline. We caught dozens of rare beetles which confirm my theory: The more coconut trees you have, the more chances you can get the money makers....

is this something that happens when you go absent for too long? Has anyone else had this problem?

For me, I buried a bunch of 'stuff', and found that I didn't get as many fossils and pitfalls. But as soon as people ran into the 'stuff', fossils started to appear.

As for gyroids, you're supposed to get 3 the day after a rain and that has seemed to be true for me.  Been having lots of trouble finding 3 fossils each day though as well.  >:(

Maybe I can finally join you guys tonight. It's been months since I played on wifi.

I'll admit maxi sounds shy but i can't say he's adorable. Not my type ;)

I'm still having trouble getting my wii online so our bed-head-torture-the-girls party will have to wait.

on to a more serious game related subject...

I've noticed that fossils have been very hard to come by lately. When i used to play daily, i'd get my three fossils and a couple of those droid things every single day. Now after picking the game back up after months of not playing.. i see none! Actually, today i played it (3 straight days in a row, woo!) and only came across ONE stinking fossile, and it was something i already had. I thought i found more but i dug up to droids instead. The past few days, i couldn't even find these though and every X i came across turned out to be a pitfall!

is this something that happens when you go absent for too long? Has anyone else had this problem?

I think it just happens from time to time. Plus some of the holes are hidden behind trees and buildings where you almost can't see them.1 And even more recently, I miss them in areas of dirt where the X blends in with the ground well.

I hope you can get online soon, Easy, I like playing Conduit with you too.

No.

But have you seen me without my beard? I'm told I am rather striking with a clean shaven face. Plus the Hispanic ladies at work seem pleased by it. I am "Guapo".2  ;D

Do I still have that old shot of my as a Renaissance man/pirate on mySpace? I don't remember.

1. Trust me, i'm very thurough about looking behind trees/signs/houses. God bless the up button on the dpad!

2. Perhaps you misunderstood those hispanic ladies. Perhaps they meant to say you remind them of El Guapo  :D

OMG OMG OMG!

Does ANYONE here have any turnips? Now's your chance to be lemon-fresh rich! The price for today is $390! But the store closes at 9PM Eastern, which is less than two hours from now!
My friend sold 1,500 turnips and got $585,000! It's crazy I tell you, CRAZY!

What time works for you. I'm going to go and do the time traveling right now. If you want to meet up in an hour that should be good for me. You know, scratch the time traveling. I'm just going to deal with whatever happened. I hope my hybrids are OK. Give me about 20-30 mins to take care of some real world stuff and I'll be on.

Alright, I'll check in about a half-hour to see if you are online.

I don't know if any flowers can survive a week without being watered. Perhaps you should go back to last week so you can put your hybrids in your house, and then change it back to the correct time?

It looks like this time I could be the one who brings YOU flowers. Ha!

That was good fun tonight. And I caught three new bugs; Atlas beetle, Herculean Beetle and Golden Stag! To quote Djunknown: Ooooohhhhhhhyyyyeeeeaaaaaauuuuhhh!

Also paid for the fountain and tomorrow my store is upgrading to the final level. Then I can throw it back down to the late night one.

Was this the one I offered you? I have it here. You haven't played with me since then.

It's gotten to the point where you have to fool him to play with us? Maybe I should invite him if you are having that much trouble convincing him. ;)

So apparently I only need 13 bugs to complete the collection.

I know I need the Scorpion and the Fly along with the violent hive Bees.

What else is there? Are there any Winter or Fall specific bugs?

Any advise on catching them?

Apparently the game says I'm missing 13 bugs but a FAQ I checked says I'm missing 11. Huh?

Tarantulas can jump over signs, holes and stumps.

Mop it up, you are immune to bee stings if you keep quick changing your items repeatedly.

I'm pretty sure there are some specific autumn and winter bugs, not sure what they are though. There's a list on GameFAQs.

Are you sure you're only 13 away? It seems like you caught those 51 bugs awfully fast...
