Acclaim: Back from the dead
« on: December 09, 2005, 04:25:58 PM »
I hate to waste a thread, but its worth a few  posts.

The news here

SNK coming back from the dead was nice. This is....disturbing.  As a poster alluded to in GS's comments section, this isn't like Atari. Atari's around in name only, but that still makes you wonder about the 'good old days...'

Why won't some things stay dead?

Edit: Missing adjectives.

Quick, if we deliver a strong blow to the head we can send it back to the hell it originally decended into voluntarily.

I don't even see the point...the company's strategy has nothing to do with the original Acclaim, and I don' think the Acclaim name offers anything except  some slight recognition...most of which is very negative in the hardcore community.  REalistically, with the possible exception of the N64 era, Acclaim is basically known for developing trash.
That's my opinion, not yours.
