new Zelda Game
« on: August 07, 2004, 10:32:37 AM »
i cant wait for this game to come out. I am a huge Zelda Fan. i like the fact that they actually put blood in the game. Like the end of Windwaker when link stabs Ganondorf in the head, there was no blood, i thought to myself if you stab someone in the head im know that blood will come out of the head. back on subject now. i think im going to love this game.

I totally disagree with everything you just said. The market is full of casual gamers, all they want is blood and gore. That's why Nintenod isn't first in the console wars, cause everyone thinks their childish. WW sold less than the mature-looking OOT & MM. Also, since when would having a 16+ rating chase away all the younger gamers? I've seen 9 year olds play GTA.

Actually, WW sold less than OoT, but I am pretty sure that it has sold more than MM.  In its defense, MM required an expansion pak and came out the same day PS2 released.

And MM came out late in the 64's life and GCN's game drought.  I thought MM was great.  EXCEPT for the invention of Tingle.
Damn you MM, it's your fault!

I'm pretty sure that the only way we see tingle in the new game is if link is using him to sharpen his sword.  I don't think tingle belongs in the uber depressing war torn hyrule in the new game.  The weather effects look nice, this will be the best selling cube game ever, there's no denying that fact.  It will eclipse everything else by a bunch and will push gamecube sales into next-gen time.

You realize you're an idiot, right? The world will explode before Miyamoto will ever let them put blood in a Zelda game.

To someone that knows what they're talking about.  Is the new zelda game using the same graphics engine, cause it sure does look like it.  It looks a lot more like wind waker than it does spaceworld zelda.

Because the game's name is Zelda .  That is enough for most people.

Yeah.  It gives us warm fuzzy feelings of frollicking in the forrest wielding a sword and shield, naked.

I got excited about Tales of Symphonia on the simple basis it's Tales + GameCube.

"how can we get all exited we dont even know the story line yet"

What do we need the storyline for?  The storyline is always my last concern regarding a Zelda title (as it is with the game designers).  I want to know what the gameplay is like.  Every Zelda game has some main gameplay idea that it focuses on (wind, parallel worlds, time travel, masks, etc) and I want to know what it is for this new title.  As long as the storyline isn't incredibly dumb I don't care about it.

As for getting excited already well Zelda has a pretty much flawless record so far.  When the closest thing to a bad game is one "different but not necessarily bad" game released 16 years ago people are going to get excited about any new entries.

yeah, i'd trade my pinky (my guitar pinky no less) for the next zelda game if i had to, even without seeing a single screenshot. I was very impressed with ww, so much so that i'll probably end up buying a designated zelda controller for the next one.... it is important to insure utmost bow and arrow accuracy.

i think that the more mature graphics of this game might make some brain-washed sony people decide to switch ninty. if it's marketed right.
