The North Sea Pro likes to joke around sometimes. I think that is the case here.

I wouldn't be surprised. The internet doesn't do a great job of expressing tone.

But anyway, I still have high hopes for the game. And if they're worried about sales, they can always throw a 'z' around or add horses.

How many RPGs are available now on the wii? Not counting the VC, I can only think of Paper Mario and side offerings from main series RPGs (Dragon Quest: Swords and a mystery dungeon Chocobo game). It's not like it's crowded at the moment.

I don't see why it would sell bad. It's an RPG for the wii, which is a genre the system really needs more of. It looks like a very solid release.

This game looks incredibly fun. I haven't played a console rpg since I beat Kingdom Hearts 2, but with games like this and ToS 2 coming, that will probably change.

This game looks pretty solid. I normally don't care for RPG's that have a huge cast of playable characters, but I'm willing to give it a shot.

Tetris Party (1200 wii points) came out today for 1200 points for WiiWare.
The Incredible Maze (500 wii points) is the other WiiWare title.

For VC, it's an import week:
Digital Champ Battle Boxing (700 Wii Points) TurboGrafx16
Gradius II (900 Wii Points) TurboGrafx16 CD-ROM

Tetris Party looks like it's a great deal. I might download that today, if it's not a huge download.

Yeah, I forgot to mention the Soul Calibur series. Looks like we like a lot of the same games.

Sonic Team really could learn a bit from Nintendo about the delaying. Sure, delays suck, but it hopefully can put out a better product. I know a lot of people think of Sonic as a joke, but if they really put some time and effort in, they'd have some great games. Creativity is there, the Dreamcast was full of it. They really need to go back and remember how to make incredible games.

Are there any other people playing this game? I've had it since the day it came out. Life has been keeping busy the past two weeks, so I haven't been able to play it lately, but for an RPG it's pretty solid. Sonic Chronicles has a great mix of Super Mario RPG and Chrono Trigger, though it doesn't reach the legendary status of either game.

The stylus control works well, though some of the pow moves are annoying to pull off. It's rare for me to pull off any pow moves with Cream. It would've been nice if Bioware made the first level of pow moves easier to pull off, then increased the difficulty the more they leveled up. Plus, when you miss, you have to keep watching the animations of the move until it's finished. If only there was a way to skip it once you miss.

Also, I wish that Bioware would've put more cash in the game, or made the items you can equip cheaper. What's the point in having items to buy if in the event that you do, you'll go broke without a chance of getting more cash? Thankfully, you don't really need them to progress.

Other than that I really like the game. I hope it leads to more games in the series.

I've never tried an mmorpg, but the Phantasy Star Online games looked interesting. I think this game has a lot of potential to be awesome, especially for offering something different for the DS.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this game. I love most Sonic games (though I haven't played the more recent ones or the gba/ds versions), but the whole knight thing makes me worried. It could be a lot of fun, but I wish Sega wouldn't rely so much on gimmicks and make a fun game.

That said, I'm still looking forward to the game, even if the theme song makes me crack up.

"Other guys" as in people who post only for a few days and disappear? I'm not planning on it. I like how everything's set up here.

It's amazing how controversial Wii Music is. I wonder how it would've been received if Nintendo did a better job with showing how to play it. I think all the hate comes from people just looking to trash something.

As far as other games I enjoy, I've been a lifelong fan of platformers. I enjoy all of Mario's (though I haven't played Sunshine). I think Mario Brothers 3, World, and Galaxy are some of the greatest games ever made. Also enjoy Sonic, Donkey Kong Country, Yoshi's Island, and Sparkster.

While I almost always play with a guide for them, I love the Metroid series. The 2D ones are a bit better, but the Prime series takes Metroid in a cool direction. Zelda's fun as well, but I haven't completed any of them (except the first one).

I could go on and on, but I'll try to keep it short. Other games I enjoy are:
Brawl/Melee
Animal Crossing
Some Shmups (even though I'm not great at them. Geometry Wars: Galaxies is amazing)
Mario Party (another favorite to play with my wife)
Wario Ware
Tetris Attack
Castlevania
Tekken
Megaman
Jet Set Radio

I know that's a lot of Nintendo first party stuff. That's what I could come up with off the top of my head. I'm trying to add a little variety, but I have to watch what I spend. The RFN Podcast has been a help with that. I got Geometry Wars: Galaxies for the DS from their recommendations. What are your favorite genres/games?

Ebay's not so bad. Though, sometimes the stuff you get from there can reek of smoke or be of questionable quality. I haven't been burned from buying games, that mostly comes from buying equipment.

As far as Wii Music goes, while I'm not picking it up tomorrow, my position has really lightened on it. At first I thought it wasn't that great of an idea, but after seeing some videos and reading some more about it, I think it's more of a Mario Paint style of fun. I'll want to rent it, and if I like it I might pick it up. They get some cool points for putting in an F-zero track.

Earthbound is just so unique with it's humor, music, and just overall feeling. There's really no other RPG like it, and that's what makes it so neat. I'd love to play the other two games in the Mother series with an actual cart or VC download, but I don't have my hopes up.

Thanks for the welcome!

Secret of Mana is definitely a game I'm looking to pick up. I'm probably going to pick it up as a SNES cart, rather than a VC download. Since the SNES is my all time favorite system, I'm trying to collect the games I want by the actual cart (also to save room on my wii storage). Though, when I bought Chrono Trigger off of ebay, only to have it announced for the DS a week later kind of made me second guess the whole original cart deal. It's great that SOM is finally available to download, though.

I didn't know Tales was coming out this year until I read the message boards here. I never got to play the first one, and I can't seem to find it at my gamestop. It's on my list of games to check out. De Blob looks like a great game to play. I think I'll rent it first, but I think it looks like a quality game.

When I play Brawl, I'll often go to the my music area and listen to the songs for awhile. Galaxy also has some amazing songs on it. Have you been to ocremix? I tend to go there a lot for remixes.

I'm glad to hear the translation got finished. I have a lot of respect for Reid and his staff at starmen.net. I remember reading in a Nintendo Power that Nintendo didn't want to being it over because it would take too long to translate. Good for them to actually go ahead and translate it.

Hey everyone, I just signed up for the forums. I found the site through the Radio Free Nintendo podcast. I've been listening to it at work for about three months, and it's easily been my favorite Nintendo podcast. I've also listened to the first 15 Radio Trivia's and I really like the format. I love video game music.

I've been lurking the board for a week or so, and finally decided to join. I'm a huge Nintendo fan, starting with the NES when I was in grade school. I don't get to play as much, since I am married and have a full time job. When I do, I usually play rpg's like Pokemon, Earthbound, and currently Sonic Chronicles. I also play Mario Kart and Mario Galaxy with my wife. I've also been getting into retro gaming, collecting games for my SNES, N64, and Genesis.
