I choose Wario.

I must confess, I didn't expect to vote this person today. He's played a very strong game, helping lead the charge against Apdude, and seemingly working for the good of the town. He also helped lock down ShyGuy when the votes were close last night.

Unfortunately for Stratos, Professor Waluigi is on the case, and the Professor has found his Toad.

Stratos didn't do anything to alert me into investigating him. I investigated Stratos mainly to add him into the core of the Waluigi anti-mafia resistance movement, and with that came his downfall.

Vote for Stratos.

Signed,
Officer Lakitu

It's hard to follow all the action each round with all the Waluigi pictures, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It's waanderful.

Taking a gamble and voting for ShyGuy.

I wish every Mafia game was Waluigi themed. Can't get enough of these pics.

Whaa-t to do, whaa-t to do. Taking a risk here, but I'm voting for Apdude.

Not sure when the round will end, but thought I'd vote Stevey for now, just to make sure I have a vote in time. No hard evidence at the moment, but that's an early round for you.

I haven't read every post in this thread, but as someone who struggles with depression (and has for most of my life), I totally understand. Some days, I'm my normal, goofy self, then the littlest thing will send me down a dark path.

In 2014, I was in a pretty bad state. I felt like a failure, letting everyone down around me for no good reason, and was disappointed with where I was in life. I'd be at work, look over the edge of the huge stairwell that had a lengthy drop, and think what would happen if I just climbed over and jumped. It was never something I was serious about, but the fact that I had those thoughts at all spooked me into talking to my wife and deciding to see a counsellor every other week to talk about my problems. I was never taught how to deal with depression, and I'd let it simmer inside of me until it consumed me.

I'm glad I did that, too. Earlier this year, I was laid off from my job, and a week later my grandmother passed away from a difficult battle with cancer. We had her funeral on my birthday, and that was a rough experience.

However, through it all, I can say I have a good support system with my wife and some close friends. I went to counseling until my insurance for the sessions ran out two months later. I'm happy to say though that I'm one month into my new job, and things are doing better.

I definitely don't have all the answers. Everyone deals with depression differently, and needs different things to help overcoming it. But I do know that hearing stories about similar people who struggle with depression can encourage others, so I hope to do that with this.

If there is any way that I can help you, let me know. I know I'm just a stranger on here that posts on occasion, but if you need to talk to someone, let me know. I always look out for PMs from this forum, and I get back to anyone who messages me.

Pouring out a Waa for our Doctor.

Waa.

Also didn't realize how fast round 1 would go. Looks like this is going to be a fun, chaotic game. Waluigi wouldn't have it any other way.

I enjoyed Legend's of Tomorrow, even though it had problems. It at least had fun here and there and didn't take itself too seriously. I enjoyed most of the characters on the show, and I'm glad there's a series for them. I can still enjoy a flawed tv show if I like the people in it.

That said, I have high hopes for Season 2. I'm a huge Justice Society fan, and they're adding the characters I want to see on TV (Hourman, Mid-Nite, and Stargirl). I'm hoping there's more direction in this season and the writers feel more comfortable writing an ensemble cast.

I knew someone couldn't resist the Pina Colada.

You should have played the song though!

I was going to quote it, but was too distracted by the tasty drink to do so. And it cost me the gameeeee...

Honestly, I decided way before the game even happened that I was going to RP my character, so my role had no factor in it. Once I was dealt the Godfather role, I contemplated changing my mind, as Lucario did some RPing last game. I decided to stick with it and hope for the best. It didn't bite me until the very end.
Actually, that didn't really have much to do with your vote out. I figured this was the role you chose to play and you'd be following it regardless of what role you were handed out, and so for most of the game I could go either way on you being innocent or not and left you alone to pursue others who looked more guilty. You were actually never investigated, what happened was that when we got down to 7 players with myself included, I knew who two of the other townies were, which meant that of those 4 other players, only one was a townie. This alone gave you a 75% chance of being Mafia, and then considering the actions of everyone throughout the game, it seemed more likely to me that you were not the one unidentified innocent. So I suggested we choose to vote you out and that's how it happened. I didn't really know you were the Godfather, that part of it was more of a lucky guess.

Hopefully that cleared up a few things for you.

Thanks for clearing that up Mop it up. I was curious as to why I suddenly became the target, so I'm glad to see how it went down on your end. I can't fault you for your logic, as it was good deduction (and you were right). While I'm bummed that I was the first taken out and hindering my team, I respect that reasoning. You and the townies deserved the win. It was a close match, and if I'm not going to win, then that's how I want it to go.

Please tell me you don't like Teen Titans Go!

I haven't been able to watch it, so I can't give much of an opinion either way. I did love the 2000's Teen Titans, though. I was a huge Young Justice fan, and really hope Netflix gets to make season 3 one day. I love DC's teen hero roster, and Young Justice might be my favorite animated show that DC has ever done. Brave and the Bold is a close second, because it managed to fit serious stories with humor and a deep love of DC's vast roster.

As a Teen Titans fan, I'm always happy to see Deathstroke pop up. Loved him in Arrow, and I wish he'd make a return one of these days. While I'm sure they won't do it for the movie, I hope they show a few moments of his not so evil side, like with his kids.

I'm glad it didn't lead to my early demise. I would've been frustrated getting offed for just honestly posting for fun. I never used that list when I was trying to figure out who the doctor and investigator were, because I'd imagine most people get PM notifications in their email and check there anyway.

I've been watching The Great British Baking Show on Netflix, as my wife and I do enjoy cooking competitions. After watching shows like Top Chef and a little MasterChef, it's a very nice change of pace. Too many shows look for judges that make cutting remarks and punish their competitors. Instead, TGBBS is just charming and pleasant to watch. The hosts are genuine and encouraging, and all the competitors seem like nice people. Plus, it's been nice to see all sorts of bakery that I've never seen before. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a different kind of competition cooking show.

I contemplated throwing out a vote for TofuFury who reminded me of previous mafia players with his roleplay and voting, specifically Decoyman, but I also realized I've played very few games with the man so I could be misreading him entirely and I'd hate to throw an innocent townie under the bus because of that. Fortunately, I stuck with voting for the investigator. You'll notice I didn't list ShyGuy because I actually kept forgetting he was playing even though he voted for me both days and I thought we had 15 players and I had accounted for them all.

In some ways I wish I had skipped this game, but that has nothing to do with any of the players, or my team. Everything I said in my defense was true. When I signed up for the game, I was jobless, and just as the game began I found out I had the job and had to do a lot of training for it on my own time. I couldn't devote building a social game because of it, so in that sense I feel like I let my team down on that end.

With all my voting, I tried to think like a townie, and vote for people who I felt were mafia from outside my knowledge. I wouldn't have voted for Khush, and kept the pressure on other players I felt were possible targets. On a side note, I'm glad that my posting in the day zero thread didn't lead to an early death for me. While I did post in the thread, it wasn't just because I had a role. I'm playing Safe Words as well, and I only posted because I was checking up on that game, not because I was mafia. If I was just mafia, I might've considered skipping day zero.

In the end, I'm happy with how I played my game, given my circumstances. Even with my new schedule, I made sure to vote every round and try to participate as much as possible. I didn't want to look like I was ever hiding, but I couldn't devote the time to throw blame on others. It wasn't my intent to look like I was trying to stay in the background, but I guess I was wrong about that.

It was fantastic to work with Insano, NickMitch, and especially apdude, who I have to give so much credit to. If we would've won, it would've been mostly on apdude's shoulders. You worked super hard, and I'm bummed we didn't get the victory for you.

And as for why I never went for Stogi, despite him announcing he was doctor in round zero, you can only vote with the information given to you. He was getting eyes on him with votes, so that meant it was one more person who would have attention rather than me. When I did put the hit on him, I was a wreck, because I was certain if he wasn't the doctor, then he had protection on him.

In the end, congrats townies, and good game everyone. And good job Pokepal on a well run game.

I've been noticing that there's one person who has been keeping a low profile, popping up every now and then to toss out a vote, typically at a townie. I'm not even sure if anyone's voted for him once yet, but it's time to fix all that. Is there a reason no one wanted to draw attention to him...?

Vote TofuFury

-Rebooting-

So hi, apparently I need to explain some things, rather than let the mafia walk away with a win by taking advantage of my situation. First, I don't think that I've been quiet. I said I was going to RP Omochao, and that's what I've done. I haven't been able to devote much time to the game, since I just got a job and I've been training for it. However, since I agreed to play this game before I found out I was hired, I've done my best to still participate by devoting a little bit of time each day to make sure I get a vote in, and not hide like other players.

And I haven't been throwing votes at townies, I've had my reasons. I voted Stevey because he had yet to show up. While it was likely he was a townie, he could easily be used by the mafia as just being a target that no one was going to hit. I tried to save Khush by throwing a vote against Top, simply because I felt that people were voting him due to his legacy. I've since voted for Oohhboy, since Khush voted for him, and I wanted to follow that lead.

And if anything, Oohhboy has been in the background even moreso than I have, and that's why I'm voting Oohhboy. If we let him get through this round, then we've lost the game. If you still want to vote for me, then I understand, but I am going with my gut on this.
