Why are you double posting the images??

Because they're in 3D.  You need to cross your eyes to see the effect.

To be clear, there is absolutely no reason to still be using XP. Windows 7 blows it away.

What if I just don't feel like spending the money to upgrade?

I finally got around to installing Office on my "new" laptop.  2 high-priority updates.  Then another 19 more.  Then 21 more after that.  Then finally 6 optional updates.  WTF

SO YOU ADMIT YOUR GUILT

I admit to playing a part.  But I did not act alone and I learned by example.

I really thought this was going to be one of those mod-created threads like we were doing to ShyGuy last week.  I'm a bit disappointed.

CHOOSE NOW THIS DAY

Why me?  I can only give out a single applaud/smite every hour, same as you.

Maybe it's a good excuse to play it so you can get your write up complete for your N64 retrospective when it goes up in 2014.

Since when were clever and groan-worthy synonyms?

EasyCure, salvia is illegal in multiple states including: North Dakota, Minnesota, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, and Delaware.  California and Maine ban the sale of it to minors, and 15 more states are currently considering banning it. It is also banned in Australia and many European countries. Reading up on it, it is not something people should be using even if it is legal where they live.

This is the funniest thing in this thread.  Seriously--WTF.  It's a good thing Dasmos isn't here or he's blow a gasket.

Just got an e-mail from Target informing me they cancelled my order.

I'm sticking with Ogre Battle because I think it is the best choice. Not only is the most easy to acquire, but a lot of people haven't played it, and the discussions could be very interesting.

That is a very good point--OB64 is the only game on this list that's available on VC.  Problem is, I don't think many people will play along.

Unfortunately, I don't think many people will play along with any of these games.  I'm sure we'll have people chiming in who have previously played the game--especially with Perfect Dark and Hotel Dusk--but I just don't think there will be many of us who play through the game (again or for the first time) with Jonny and crew.

The game is great.  Unlike a lot of people, I don't think there's ever a huge spike in difficulty that prevents you from being able to progress.  The game's certainly no cake walk, but I was able to beat it without too many problems.  If you ever do run into a wall, be sure to replay some of the earlier stages and get the treasures you missed the first time around.  They'll help you progress, plus you'll get money which will let you level up.

you shouldn't need to do anything to the keyboard area to install more RAM.

It holds two sticks of RAM.  One is under a latch on the bottom of the laptop.  The other is under the keyboard.

I would tell you what it is, but you torture me in the funhouse of horrors.

Oh, come on!  Half of those weren't even me!  And the last one definitely wasn't!  (Title change wasn't me either.)

I was attempting to install some new RAM into a laptop I just bought--and failed miserably, but that's another story all together--and noticed something interesting.  I was following an online guide and noticed that the laptop in the guide has a chip of some sort that my computer doesn't have.

Can anyone tell me what this is?  My laptop has the plug that connects to the chip but it's just hanging there empty.

Not exactly a 60 GB PS3, eh?

But I only do it because paying $150 for a bunch a channels I didn't want & don't watch is asking too much.

If you don't want them and don't watch them isn't paying anything for them too much?  Why do you even want the fancy package?

The real question is

Does ShyGuy work at Best Buy or at McDonalds?

171
Meh, out of those choices none look appealing to me.

Same here--quite strange in fact.  I guess all my choices either won their polls or lost by a lot.

Out of curiosity, which of these games have previously been played by RFNers?  I know James has played OB64 and I'm pretty sure everyone's familiar with Perfect Dark.  I'd rather pick a game that no one has previously played.

After installing a few basic programs I decided to check Windows update again.  There was another frigging high-priority update available.

I just bought a refurbished laptop with Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 installed.

I went to Windows Update and found 91 high-priority updates.  Ninety one.

After those installed there was one new high-priority update.  After that one there were 12 more high-priority updates.

Then there were 9 optional updates available--one of which needed to be downloaded and installed by itself.

Then there were 12 brand new high-priority updates available.  Finally, there was one more high-priority update that I needed to install after all that.

I was amazed by the sheer insanity of it all.  Took damn near 2 hours to download and install all of them.
