So only 1 game this week? Because the other sounds like an App.

Yep, only one game. The app sounds useful if you need that kind of thing and it works.

"With Camera Function"? I thought the DSi already had full camera capabilities. And how would it connect with a dictionary?

It lets you photograph text to translate it.

The folks at Nintendo Life are skeptical it will work due to the lousy camera recognition in WareWare: Snapped. The dictionary app could be useful, but it's a very expensive app at 800 Nintendo Points.

I'm not sure there's much in common between snapped and this, plus text recognition is different from face recognition. I guess we'll have to see if it works.

Ah, text recognition. I was thinking object recognition and then telling you what the objects name and definition was, which felt a little silly unless you were learning English for the first time.

Ghostwire has object recognition software that is reportedly working fine so maybe DSi can do OK text recognition as well.

For those interested, 2-in-1 Solitaire was released in Japan back in February as Solitaire DSi. It contains both the Klondike version of solitaire (i.e. the normal kind that everyone is familiar with) and the Spider version.

MySims Camera?  Does this mean EA is supporting DSiWare?  I think this is a first.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

It's not a game. It's basically just an app that lets you take pictures using the DSi's camera and put characters from the MySims series in the pictures. EA has yet to actually make a game for DSiWare.

I didn't say it was a game, did I?  Stop trying to be clever.

Catch-up week on WiiWare as all 3 are already out in NA, the VC and DSiWare games are out in PAL region first.

It was released on DSiWare because they considered it not worth a retail release. You already have it at retail, you don't need the DSi one.

I can't see myself paying actual money for this but I'll gladly pay Pepsi points!
