Since it's all in the public domain (or presumed public domain), you can get these for free already (as the compiler did), so the only real benefit is possibly the formatting job and condensation to one volume.

That's tempting, but given how infrequently I need to use Windows I'm not sure it's even worth that much to me. I haven't had a Windows install since I upgraded my hard drive almost a year ago, and I haven't had a reason to want one.

That's a really good deal. I got Vista for like $60 a few years ago using a student discount (then got the 64 bit versinon for $10, and now Windows 7 for free from Gateway). Personally I think every OS should be free, but the ridiculous retail prices make these types of deals look very nice.

I received Windows 7 Ultimate for free a few weeks before it was released thanks to a few training courses our Microsoft rep set at the time.

That's the first time I've ever received a free Windows disc. That's not to say I've ever paid for an operating system though. ;)

Alright people, I meant to post this earlier, but I haven't been home and I've been posting from my phone and multiple links is a pain.

$79 for $500 is credit towards a HDTV from BargainWholesaleHDTVs.com
http://www.dealfind.com/san-francisco

Dealfind swears they are legit and I researched it through slickdeals
http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=1177009&t=2878921

I purchased one for myself (virtual CC) and I'm contemplating a second one too. I will be surprised if it works, but I hope worse case scenario I have my CC company do a charge back and have Dealfind refund me my money.

I would try it, but there isn't a PJ's close enough to me to be worth the drive.... even if the pizza is free.

If they're selling a coffee and doughnut once a day for a year for $20, that's not free.  It's approximately 5-6 cents for both each day.   ;)   Still a nice deal if you like that crap, though (I don't like all that glazed crap on my doughnuts).

Yes, actually (my favorite flavor being chocolate dip on a chocolate cake doughnut, which is becoming frustratingly difficult to find these days).  However, I can enjoy a good glazed doughnut occasionally as well.  Crispy Creme, though, seems to be one of those companies that likes baking the glaze inside the doughnut itself, which ruins the doughnut for me.

They just drop the dough into a fryer then it floats over to a conveyer belts at which point the glaze is automatically poured on top as it goes down.   There is a little  video of them going through the glazer (http://krispykreme.com/doughnuts).  Though if you don't get them hot and fresh they are only half as good.

Apparently Best Buy is paying everyone to go watch Xmen First Class by offering you $12 Movie Cash with the purchase of ANY of the Xmen movies on either Bluray or DVD

Blurays are $7.99 each (w/ $12 movie cash)
DVDs are $3.99 each (w/ $12 movie cash)

so if you think about it, BB is giving you $4 to take a Bluray off their hands and $8 to take a DVD if you agree to go see Xmen First Class.

Great deal if you already planned on watching it.
For $16 I can get me and 3 other people into Xmen First Class and have the whole series on DVD in return. Can't go wrong there.
