Activision's portable Guitar Hero entry is set to launch in July, both standalone and bundled with the new limited edition Black/Silver Nintendo DS.

 Activision announced that Guitar Hero: On Tour for the Nintendo DS is set to release in Europe on July 18 in both standalone form and bundled with a limited edition Nintendo DS system. Guitar Hero: On Tour features a unique peripheral for the DS called the Guitar Grip which features 4 buttons used to play the game. Players will be able to strum the screen like strings on the guitar while holding various buttons on the Guitar Grip to simulate manipulation of the fret board.    


Guitar Hero: On Tour will feature a cross-section of Rock music including blink-182, No Doubt, Jet, Nirvana, and Bloc Party. Additionally, all the featured songs will be available for co-op play as well as Battle Play.
