Again, you guys fail to understand. But it's NWR, so that's to be expected I guess.

Its understandable that a Nintendo based website needs to be run by people who at the very least like Nintendo. However, that doesn't mean that the staff needs to love Nintendo 24/7. We are not running a Church or a cult here (though fandom does lean towards one way or the other...).

Oh, I have no problems with the multiplatform love (how dare people play video games!), but the staff **** on Nintendo non-stop these days and hop on all the rolleyes.gif internet forum bandwagons. The Ian style angst isn't helping traffic or anything, NWR's been dead for like three years now. That's why I suggested it should be rebranded or something, it's clear the majority of people on staff here no longer have interest in Nintendo. That's cool, start over! Make it an Atari Lynx forum for lol.

Pretty much. As it stands, NWR is like a chocolate ice cream forum run by people that hate chocolate ice cream.

NWR seriously needs to just shut up shop. Close the site down completely or rebrand it.

Play the DS version, it's actually a really good 2D platformer (and by 2D I mean it has 3D graphics but whatever).

i seriously wonder why Wario isn't Wiiware game. No way I'll pay $50 for that, I know Nintendo is greedy but you have to balance out greed with smart business.

I hate this new fad of 2D = downloadable game.

I never knew the extent of Japan's Snoopy obsession, there's already like three Snoopy DS games including a LEARN ENGLISH WITH SNOOPY thing.

"Good grief"
"Good... grief"

*Credits roll, training is finished*

These look pretty fun which is a shock considering S-E is behind them. P-P-P-PINGUUUUUUUU.

Yeah, it's a pity the game is exclusive to a single retail chain in America for the moment, but at least it's not EB/Gamestop where they'd bury it behind all the unsold copies of Generic Brown FPS #124.

Yep, there's a really good interview with the developers here, took three years to go from concept to reality. It's even more impressive considering this is their first ever game!

Soul Bubbles is as hard as you want it to be. If you stay on the main track, it's a benign experience that can be very relaxing at times. But if you venture out too far, in search of the hidden calabashes, I guarantee you'll have your fair share of challenge.

What would you say is the game's unique selling point, which should stand it out among the other games on DS?

It's a soothing, benevolent game and it was made with tonnes of passion – which is rare on any platform, unfortunately.

Love this guy. LOVE THIS GAME. It's one of the best experiences I've had on the DS so far.

My review will be up in a few days, but for now all you need to know is it's the best DS game. The best! How can you say no to a game that boots up with this screen;

Retro Game Challenge
Time Hollow
Rhythm Heaven
Bangai-O Spirits
Rune Factory 2
Exit DS
Kirby: Super Star Ultra
Chrono Trigger
I Heart Geeks
Metal Slug 7

DS wins again. What a stupid doomed non-gamers gimmick system.

SSB Melee's Mario model looked better than Mario's model in Super Mario Sunshine and that game came out later.  And then Nintendo reused that lousy model again and again.  It was laziness and it's not really surprising that that laziness has continued on to the Wii.

Wow a model in a fighting game with tiny levels looked better than one in a 3D adventure game.

Are you retarded.

What is this **** it looks like a SNES game what a gimmick for toddlers.

I have this game.

It's better than Zelda.

It also came with a music CD with some of the worst music ever. But also, better than Zelda.

« on: July 02, 2008, 10:33:42 PM »
Agreed, Arkanoid DS is a massive let-down. Especially considering it was the first Breakout clone to actually try something new back in the day, now it's easily the weakest Breakout clone on DS. Nervous Brickdown, Break 'em All and Block Breaker Deluxe are all much more fun.

Though Fairy Reflection is an amazing song in Arkanoid DS~
