The thing is, I remember somebody from Nintendo (forget who, or in what interview) mentioned that in WW2, Link would be a little older than before... perhaps the new "realistic" look was what he meant. On another forum, somebody came up with the intersting theory that the new look is how Link sees the world through his own eyes at that age, while WW's graphical style was how Link saw the world at a younger age.

Probably to increase sales

Nintendo Gaming / RE:What really happened to Link?
« on: May 10, 2004, 09:04:47 AM »
Hey that gave me an idea. My theory is that two Hyrules exist. One where Gannondorf took the castle and started 7 years of tyranny. This is where Adult Link of OOT and the world of WW exist. There is the world of Kid Link in OOT and MM where Gannondorf never did anything. Link strangly disapeared after defeating Gannondorf. (he became a kid again.) Thus Hyrule had no hero... and the events explained at the start of WW happen.

But what happens in kid links world... hint hint

On Multi, I usually try to find rifle-only maps. Those PPSh addicted noobies are darn annoying.

At the unloved and unmissed grave of Titus, a bony hand comes out the earth clutching a copy of Lamborghini FX.

"Oh my god, it just won't die!"

For me, PC Gamer (uk version) and NGC are the purest, least crap-filled magazines out there. I have yet to have found another gaming magazine with their quality and excellence.

Anyone play this? It's excellent.

For those who have played it, my favirote single-player mission is Pavlov, while my favirote multiplayer map is Stalingrad. I beat the SP game on the hardened difficulty setting yesterday.

For those who haven't played, line up soldiers!

Halo came to the PC WAY too late. I have Call of Duty for my epic single-player action, and Battlefield 1942 and Vietnam for my online FPS fix.

I hope the ex-rare members of Free Radical "convince" EA to add online or at the least LAN support for the GCN. If there is gonna be LAN/Online support that is.

Yeah,, but they always give warnings and stuff before doing walkthroughs and specials for "M" rated games. "But be warned, this game is rated M and is not for the faint of heart."

Unfortunatly, the US doesn't have a major unofficial Ninty magazine. But Britian has 2 or 3 big unofficial ones aswell as the official one! NGC is particularily good, it is the successor to the also excellent N64 magazine.

General Gaming / What was the best E3 ever?
« on: May 09, 2004, 08:50:57 AM »
In my opinion, its the 2001 E3. Almost ALL of the games were a suprise, and I still remember my jaw dropping and the excitement going through me when I saw the first pics for Blue Storm, Luigis Mansion, and especially Rogue Leader... Ah, it almost brings a tear to my eye.

TalkBack / RE:Prince of Persia 2 Officially Announced
« on: May 07, 2004, 12:06:36 PM »
Yeah, its like how nobody knows about the old Metal Gear games in the 80s.

But the game looks pretty sweet. I've always really want to see a action/adventure game with an actually revolutionary combat system. As in more moves then horizontal and vertical slashs and jump attacks. This may be it. Wind Waker added the sweet parry attacks but I wanna see more new combat moves then that.

TalkBack / RE:EA Announces The Third Age
« on: April 27, 2004, 06:43:18 AM »
Darn, by the third age, I thought they were talking about the ENTIRE third age. Also, the storyline wouldn't fit in with the movie (It might fit in with the book...) in many ways. Unless these new charactors were Gondorion soldiers at Osgilith, and somehow got away from the Balrog, I'm not sure its possible. But is it a turn-based RPG? It seems to be, despite the fact that the word RPG is not mentioned once.
