I have not bought a single game since MK8, gaming has slipped out of my budget for time time being.

Oh, wait - I did get one.  From Nintendo Australia... not sure how I ever got on their mailing list, but I did.

I'm hoping they retool the DDP for this new award program. I thought the setup was really slick and it was all tied to your NNID. Allow you to exchange your coins for eShop credits, free games, or cool merch _{(one can hope).}

Donkey Kong: Original Edition - 3DS or Wii VC
Previously only available when you purchased a select 3DS download title (in US) or the Red Wii (in EU).  Features the "Pie Factory" level that was removed from the initial NES Release.
Mario Bros.: Original Edition - 3DS or Wii VC
This one would require a little bit of effort - it's a more better version of the arcade port - it was only released on the FDS in Japan and had a physical release on the NES in EU.
Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary Edition - Wii VC
Previously only available when you purchased a Red Wii in Japan.  Has all the ? Blocks replaced with blocks that have the number 25 on them.
Doc Louis' Punch-Out!! - WiiWare
Previously only offered as a 2009 Club Nintendo Platinum reward.  Lets you fight Doc Louis.
Devil World - 3DS or Wii U VC
Never before released in the US.  Released on both the 3DS and Wii U VC in Japan and the 3DS VC in Europe.

Previously only available for individuals who bought the 3DS before the first initial price drop.

Crunching all the numbers, it looks like I'll be close to 14,000 coins redeemed during the life of Club Nintendo.  I'll have an exact number later on, of course, but that's pretty close.

I just realized that my New 3DS + Monster Hunter and Majora will not give me coins. So I may not reach platinum this year. At least I got to gold...


I was hoping to get one of the NES Remix shirts with Samus playing Mario Brothers using those coins as well. Anyone want to help me out?

Went through my remaining surveys, including a bunch of them from 4-5 years ago, and got myself to Platinum one last time. Now to see if the selection of games includes anything I don't already own.

dammit I wish I had paid closer attention to the dates, those two games I just purchased do not count. The timing sucks too because I grabbed Punch Out right before the deadline to get it half price and grabbed Metroid Prime Trilogy a few minutes after it went up. I was not going to get either of those games at full price so this was the only time to get them. I was hoping that with the coins these got me I could cash in for one final Virtual Console game but nope didn't earn any coins and the games up right now I already have. There aren't any new games I am interested in and the games I will be buying latter down the road won't count either. I am not going to spend money on a game I don't want just to earn coins to get a free game I won't play. Without the DDP Club Nintendo seems pointless anyways.
