Wii U Sports Club with just under 3k...I am disappoint.

It's already been for sale through the console for a while. Couple that with the sluggishness of the Wii U and consoles in general in Japan makes for an unfortunate sales turn out. Plus I believe the motion/sportsgames fad has wound down anywhere that is not a retirement community. It will not have the clout it once had again methinks.

At least Wonderful 101 no longer has the worst launch week for a 1st party game on WiiU.

If Level 5 can get their shipments sorted, they might clear 2m next week. Oreshika's a little low for my liking, and Atelier needs to get off the annual train.

I'm not surprised by the sales of Wii Sports club considering how long the individual games have been on sale on the eshop, the state of consoles in Japan, and at its core, it's still an 8 year old game. I will probably pick up a physical copy at some point.

Same here. We tried the trial run of bowling and golf over Christmas with the family and everyone enjoyed it enough to make it worth getting for family gatherings. And my dad things the improvements to golf over the original were great.

Aside from the Smash Bros. 3DS game, I don't see any other software being released in that time that would help boost sales. Unless there is another price drop, I'd be surprised for that many adopters to suddenly buy in. Still, it has a quality library and has definitely been a worth successor to the DS so the appeal should be there for gamers especially with most systems really not getting many games and so many getting delayed to next year, so maybe?

That being said, if a Smash Bros. bundle is announced I will finally cave and get a 3DS.

I suspect that Nintendo will release a Smash Bros 3DSXL and a Smash Bros. Wii U.

If they don't, they're crazy.  Heck, if I were in charge, they'd release a Smash Wii U, 3DS and 3DSXL.  And people would buy them.

LOL you are right, I didn't expect the PS3 to be listed higher n the list than PS4.
A quick glance and I assumed that was the PS4 right under the Wii U.

What's crazy is that even with the bad 18months behind  launch,  ps4 probably won't catch Wii U in Japan and XboxONE and WiiU will be neck and neck in the US over the next 12-18 months.

*shrugs* What do you expect when the PS4 didn't launch in Japan till February, and there's really no Japanese 3rd party support? The Wii U can rule the Land of the Dead, where consoles don't sell. The PS4 has the rest of the world right now.

Nintendo sold 510,000 Wii U's in 3 months. While not fantastic by any stretch, it does seem like a building block. That would project to about 6Million shipped/sold by FY end.
