Topic: Anyone play a musical instrument??

I play guitar...albeit poorly. I have an acoustic which I have self taught myself on for the past year. I mostly play simple songs, like Polly and Glycerine etc.  Just last night I learnt Better Man! One day I'm going to get lessons as I would eventually like to be really good.

I play the Sax, Started in middle school (it was either band, chorus, or art; and I cant sing or paint).  Anyway, I kept it up all the way through high school and I got pretty good.  I was a section leader for the Saxophone/Melophone section in marching band my senior year (yeah, thats right, I was a band geek, GO HUBS!!).  Ive been playing the piano/keyboard for a couple years, but I am not as good at that as I am with the Sax.

Unfortunately, I have not kept up with my music very well in college.  I just recently got a single room so I might get my keyboard (I can plug my headphones into it) But I dont feel like playing my sax, as probably the whole building would get sick of it, and I would rather not have my neighbors hate me.  Perhaps I'll just take a break from the sax for a while.

BTW - if anyone is familiar with Freestyle, I've got a session scheduled for this Saturday with Old School legend Peter Fontaine (best known for his Freestyle club hits "Just Like The Wind", "The Way She Looks At Me", "You Are An Angel", etc.)

I play guitar, I pretty much don't do anything else besides play videogames. I started pretty late compared to most people though (around 16-17 years old, i'm almost 20 now). Never had lessons and never felt like pursuing any. I'm a terrible singer but i'm trying to learn that too.

I started playing the piano in elementary school, and stopped in about 7th grade.  I started playing the sax and stopped in 8th grade.

I now really enjoy playing the guitar, and bass, of course.  I focus on technique and junk like that.  I've been playing for about two years now.  What I'm really proud of is my knowledge of musical theory.  Most people who play just learn songs from the internet (tabs or whatever) but I learn improvisation.  As far as musical stylings, I'm very influenced by the rock and roll era of the 70s.  Pink Floyd, Rush and Dire Straits, for instance.

I play alto and tenor sax, Tuba, drums, and turn tables. I've played sax for almost 13 years. I've palyed the drums for 8 years and tuba for 5. I'm mostly into jazz instrumentals and stuff. I just got on the turn tables three years ago and I love it.

not right now. I just moved apartments and all my stuff is in the middle of transitioning. sometime between school and work I'll head around to pick up my stuff.

once you get settled in maybe we can swap tracks. I kinda sorta own a record company but we are in a transition stage so everything is down right now. we lost our studio and our website so its kinda complicated.
