OK, thanks. I guess I did get a little carried away there. I was feeling pretty bad about it once you mentioned it as I didn't see it as what it could have been until hindsight. Thanks for understanding and pardoning me. :-[

Koopa Troopa was my Dad's favorite as well.

He was happy to see him make a return in MKWii.

Was Peach really a lightweight in SNES version? She's a medium weight now right? I'm tempted to make a weight joke but I'll refrain.

So be it, as long as we can avoid personal attacks I respect your decision.

Was there anything I said that was personal attack material? If so it was not intended as such and I apologize. I know it is a game and nothing I say in the mafia game world reflects my opinions in real life. It's probably as close to role playing as I can get considering I'm not sure how Dragon Chan, my character, would behave.

I have the highest amount of respect for you as a person and meant nothing serious by my comments.

Fair enough, some of my actions made you suspicious. But I'm also suspicious of you so you'll understand that I'm responding back with a Vote for Yoshidious.

It's always a risk when you buy online but I've heard eBay is worse than Amazon.

That's why it's important to not only look at ratings but what those ratings are for. Some people sell a few minor good items to build a good rep before pawning off the bad junk.

Personally I prefer Rosalina. But that's just me. My friend calls her 'Emo Peach'

OK, I've made it known that I'm suspicious of Pales whole 'stevey lesson' maneuver.

I'm also suspicious of Yoshidious because after I got that misleading PM from Rabicle I PM'd Yoshidious to warn him about it. I even talked Maxi into convincing the doctor to send his protection to Yoshidious because of it. This is the thanks I get, a suspicious accusation from the guy I tried to help out. You, sir, are an ingrate.

Investigator, please get in contact with me, as Maxi and I were confidants. We trusted each other. We need to keep together.

Thanks, guys. :)

We'll have to play once I get internet at home again.

I agree on the SNES track being challenging. I remember that one well. There was the crazy jump you could take if you had a mushroom.

I think that course was my first gaming related anger moment. I was playing 150cc and just had to get first to win the gold on that cup. I was in the lead by far until the last stretch of the last lap I got red shelled. I started to go again but %$*@^%# Donkey Kong drove RIGHT THROUGH one of the last star powered thwomps! So he beat me and I was so mad that I nearly tore my SNES controller in two, then I threw it across the room. I was mad.

LOL, good times.

No! First Mop it up, then Maxi!

What am I to do?

Fight, that's what.

Well done guys.

Probably eBay. Pirated copy. That's too bad.
Thankfully I've yet to run into a pirated game during my online shopping of used games.

Good job on the narratives so far GP.

Have a good night all.

I hate mirror cup rainbow road. I got three excellent first place finishes to only lose the gold on the rainbow thanks to an unprecedented amount of brutality combined with a near unprecedented level of incompetency on my part. I just had to get like 6th or 7th to secure a gold and I got 10th! So frustrating! ARGHHHH!

It is the second worst rainbow road performance I remember on ANY rainbow road in ANY Mario Kart I've played. I can't remember the last time I truly wanted to hurl a controller like then.

Walks are good to relieve stress like that but I need comforting and consoling.

Well, we have a youtube page and we are getting videos on there. He hired a few new people and news is quite frequent now.

It wasn't an instant transformation but, then again, things like this take time when they are volunteer based.

I know you mean it in jest mostly, but I'm satisfied with the direction things are going and am excited for the future.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Colorz
« on: April 30, 2009, 09:01:10 PM »
The tagline was, "do you really know your colours?" Then they "fused" green and red together to make yellow.

Other than that the gameplay looks cool, but the art style is horrid.

That color mixing made me do a double take for a minute until I Googled it and got this answer:

Quote from: AnswerBag.com written by 'Anonymous'
There are two kinds of color mixing — additive color mixing and subtractive color mixing.

In additive color mixing, the primary colors are red, green, and blue.  If you look closely at the screen of a color CRT monitor, with a magnifying glass, you'll see that the image consists of these three colors.

Equal amounts of red and green do indeed make yellow, in additive color mixing.  If you closely examine a yellow part of an image on a color CRT, as described above, you'll see that the red and green are lit up brightly, and the blue is very dim, if it's lit up at all.

Subtractive color mixing is what happens when you mix paints or inks.  The primary colors in subtractive mixing are cyan (a light greenish blue), magenta, and yellow.

I notice my brute is using his weapons more. I have two instead of one so maybe the odds of your brute using a weapon goes up with the number you have at your disposal.

I'm at lvl 6 right now.

Since you guys are at it, how about hiring a proofreader?
If anyone needs a proofreader it's the gang at IGN. I've almost emailed an application to be an editor considering how many errors seem to slip though their sights.
I'm not saying the writing's bad (it isn't), but if I notice even one mistake, it bothers me.

I know what you mean. I'm a stickler even in forum posts and the other day I was chatting with an old friend on facebook and it took me a bit to adjust to the lack of punctuation and grammar. Quite funny as I felt I was breaking a law when I attempted to drop half my grammar. I hadn't chatted in a good while.

I don't notice all that many errors on NWR articles. I know you require someone else to check all your reviews before they are posted so that seems to get most of the glaringly obvious errors. A different pair of eyes does wonders to the editing process.

If I lived there I would be all over it. Though I am near Redmond and NoA headquarters though if you need someone there... ;)

We don't have anybody up there, and that would certainly be helpful.  Feel free to apply!

I just might do that. And if I land an interview with you for the job it could boost my morale considering I have no good leads for a paying job.  ;)

Expect my resume in the next few days.

So I beat the game last night. A predictable but enjoyable ending. Though I still have like 1/3rd of the game to complete apparently.

The dialogue is hilariously bad. They certainly did go for a cheesy buddy cop movie vibe.

The final climactic mission was pretty fun, along with the final few before it as well.

I can't figure out two things though, there is mention of an underground racing circuit but I can't find out anything about it and I'd like to race more in a non-go kart way.

Second, I keep finding these swirly blue clouds around town but I can't figure out what they do or how to use them.

Any thoughts?

Sure, eventually everyone will... once they've died and their heirs sell of the rights because they have no integrity. :P

Yup!

Hendrix songs are available on Wii even in spite of the supposed 'artistic integrity' rule where they had to be sold as a three pack. I think the sales of the HD versions of Hendrix songs combined with the amount of Wii versions of World Tour influenced this change. $$$ speaks quite persuasively.

I've played it in cyber cafes with a friend. My laptop is below minimun specs so I don't want to get in until I either know it would run anyway or can get a new computer. Mine can run orange box just fine so I'm going to try the demo and if it works then I will be a happy camper, the only matter to solve is money to buy the full game and getting a steady internet connection.

Ghostbusters is split screen coop.

Is that turning out to be an FPS? I've not followed that game much yet.

14524
That's because WiiWare is an extension of the console monopoly. Consoles are generally about lock-in. The PC has several competing download services that offer different pricedrops, different takes on DRM, etc. If you don't want a monopoly don't get a console.
s. While stores sometimes go below the publisher's price it's fairly rare and most sales happen pretty much near the current MSRP.

Consoles have no monopoly in Europe. The console manufacturers are not legally allowed to stop a company from releasing games on their systems their. That is why a company like Phoenix Games exists and why they have released hundreds of PS2 games that border on copyright infringement (mainly with Disney). It's because Sony legally can't stop them from releasing games on the PS2/PS3/PSP in Europe.

Really? That seems...strange. How did your government come to that conclusion?

I thought 'vendettas' we part of the fun in this game?
It would be if the one being voted for actually REACTED to it. You're supposed to be all  :o, not  8).

But that's part of the mystery, the suspense, the intrigue and the mystique! Who will blink first and who chickens. A test of mental mettle! The thrill of the hunt-the kill! An intellectual battle to whits end!
