Nintendo Gaming / RE:My Nintendo Oddity
« on: August 05, 2004, 01:48:59 PM »
Why must I keep getting smoten?  It's not like I did anything wrong, except all of that wrong I did.  It always works for Lupin!  I need spindly misproportional limbs, and then I'd get the respect.  Till then EBGames employees are just gonna keep stealing pins from me, leading me to steal pins from Blockbuster, it's just a vicious cycle!  Theft leads to theft kids, which eventually leads to ecstasy, which eventually leads to treason.  Remember that if you don't wanna end up bowin' to the Commies.

Heyheyhey, now!  It was a rented pin.  I rented the games, the pins just happened to come with them, but also neither of them were WarioWare it was Mario Kart, and Party.  Thanks for wagering a guess though.

I just registered my copy of WarioWare Mega Party Game$ with My Nintendo, and they said it was already registered.  It certainly wasn't registered under MY name.  It's a new game, like, ne-new, as in "not used"... I suppose it's my comeuppance for registering those Blockbuster games earlier in the year.  Has this happened to anybody else?

Does anybody else think the name sounds like a euphamism?

...I'm just gonna go into the bathroom and tube slide for a little while...

Nintendo Gaming / Good Stuff is Always Made of Gold...

Well I think it's fugly too, so there. I really wouldn't want it any other way. It's tradition.  I also think they could have done it better, maybe injected some highlights, gone with a better etching effect, etc. I like it, but it's fugly.

Of course I haven't seen it in real life, so I may have to eat my words, but from the pictures I do declare it fugly, perhaps even butt-fugly.

In the realm of disks that look better, are you talking about any disk or just GODs? As GC disks go, I'd have to say I prefer both the oot bonus disk and the Eternal Darkness disk.  As all disks go, you can't beat Blue Oyster Cult: Cult Classic, that's a sweet looking disk.

You know what? We have an SNES 2 at our local "It's About Games" store(or at least we did Saturday). I think it's $17.99.  If they still have it I could get it and send it to you. You'd have to pay for the system and the shipping, but I see no reason for you to have to pay any more than that.  I'm going out tomorrow (3/09), maybe I'll pick it up and hold it till you decide.  If you decide no, I'll just keep it. I broke my  SNES awhile back. Get back to me in this thread or e-mail me at shane@studioseraphim.com, maybe we can figure something out.

Nintendo Gaming / Who wants some Ninjas?
« on: March 09, 2003, 04:40:26 PM »
To answer your question... everybody wants Ninjas.  If you have Ninjas, you want more Ninjas.  I don't think even old women and young girls would turn down a few Ninjas. Ninjas are always wanted, everywhere.

...Especially on GameCube.

Nintendo Gaming / How much can you get for a used GameCube?
« on: March 09, 2003, 04:38:10 PM »
Okay... now don't just flame me to a pulp.  I'm not (God forbid) selling my GameCube.  I'm thinking of buying one for my friend.  I've shafted him for four years straight on his B-Day and I'd like to do something really cool.  Now, my sister bought one a while back for her husband who just doesn't play it anymore and she's thinking of selling it to a Funcoland type store.  I told her she'd probably only be getting store credit, and now she doesn't know what to do. Enter me, I kinda have to lowball her because I'm crazy poor, but I want to be fair. Do you think $100 is too low for a used GC + 4 Controllers + 1 or 2 Games? Should I go higher? Keep in mind this is family... but also keep in mind we don't get along perfectly.  What would Funcoland give her?

Thanks All!

Nintendo Gaming / EGM rate Zelda!!!
« on: March 07, 2003, 09:16:40 AM »
Ahh, reminds me of a Rosenbergs lyric:
"Which side are you on? I doesn't really matter if you're not sided with me."

Personally, I respect Mark's honesty.  Most people would be tempted to look past any flaws the game may have just because the game hapens to be a Zelda. I think the scores were fair. As they usually are. Just look at the game of the year in that same issue: Metroid Prime. Game Informer (another honest publication imho) barely put it on their list.

You really shouldn't accuse EGM of all people of having their heads up anybodies butt. They're one of the very few mainstream magazines who have a long history of credibility. They're quite possibly the most respected multi-platform games magazine out there. They have guts and when something sucks they'll say it. They were the first to really decry PS2's crappy launch lineup, they pushed for the out-of-vogue and dying Dreamcast, and (although I don't agree with their decision) they actually took a stance on which console to buy at launch when everybody else was saying either "get both" or "they're both pretty good, so it's really up to you." I'd choose them over any other magazine to give me advice on what to play.

Of course I could be a bit biased here... I've ran to the bathroom five times (seriously, five) while writing this and the only friend I've had with me is my EGM.

At our K-Mart, they laugh at you and kick you in the junk.  You DO get 20 percent off all the older games though (it's closing).

Deeply cool website... a bit slow loading perhaps.  Infusing it with an insoucient hint of Lance Henriksen was a great idea.

Whoah there fellah! It's nice that you're all excited about Wind Waker and all, but don't go saying things you don't mean about Ocarina.  "Crappy," game indeed...

I'm number 180, but I'd better get mine.  Babbages wouldn't lie...  WAIT! Babbages lies constantly!  Damn you Charles Babbage!  Damn you to Hell!
