The word popeye can be used as a racial slur against African-Americans. That being the case, I find it odd that the majority of the chain's customers are black.

I've never heard that racial slur before, so I'm inclined to think it was made after the chicken joint became popular and only in whatever region of the country you are from.

and the link ThePerm posted would discredit the "racial" theory too.

I wish i was friends with Sean Combs. The last time I had a non online black friend was in 5th grade and I lived in Georgia. He was my best friend at the time, but i haven't been able to track him down. I lived in Arizona most of my life and my friends are 75% Mexican. It only seems like recently there have been some migration of black people into Arizona. A couple of months ago, i was at a bar with a couple of friends and their friend from San Diego gave me a lot of **** for being translucent

On saturday I went to a club in my hometown and I was surprised there were a bunch of black dudes there (im not the one in my group who pointed it out), and a couple African Princesses. If I didn't look like Charles Manson at the time I might have been more social. I'm serious my friend told me i looked like a serial killer like 3 times.

I just don't get how he made it so far.. Everyone figured that with Biggy outta the picture his career would dwindle and instead it blossomed beyond belief. Clothing line, cologne, tv show.. wtf who buys the ****? I don't know a single person who likes the man..
