Yes you can. It's called Hotel Mario.

That wasn't even developed by Nintendo, and it was a bad concept dressed up as Mario.

True. However, you didn't say "Nintendo can't fail with Mario" you simply said "You can't fail with Mario". I took the "you" to be the universal you, as in anyone. Somebody failed with Mario.

What brings about the choice of Reznor? Is this in celebration of the iPhone app he just released or something?

Yeah, I thought so, too.

I suppose "was" kind of applies, as it sounds like NIN is going on hiatus after this latest tour.

Sorry 'bout the double post, but I figured I'd keep NIN away from my pic post. I just finished one of good ol' Link. The style is meant to be a cross between OoT and TP versions, as I became obsessed with Link during the former game but appreciate the style of the latter. Plus, he's rocking the "mysterious" Smash Bros. pose. Anyway, enjoy.

I love NIN.  Trent Reznor is an arrangement genius.  Also, guys Trent IS NIN.  Iphone? I don't own one.  Don't see a point.

And that's a great Link artwork. Awesome worn look on the clothes.

Thanks!

I'm a big Reznor fan, too. I only mentioned the iPhone because the (I hear) neat-o tour app is the only thing Reznor/NIN has released in the past few months. Oh, and maybe you've already seen it, but Digg Diologg recently posted a quality interview with Trent.

Downright inspiring, he is. And you're right - it's strange that so much amazing creative energy generally comes from topics on isolation, self-hatred, etc. Though, there's been a slight change in the attitude of his music/lyrics since he got through rehab (I suppose it's most noticeable in With Teeth).

Yeah it's too bad I find "With Teeth" as a singles only album. The singles off of it were great, but everything else felt kind of like filler material.

I agree. There are a handful of songs from it that I wouldn't miss if they disappeared. For me, his most exciting release in years has been Ghosts - probably in part because its release almost came out of nowhere. Mostly, though, I've just never heard anything like it. (I can't say I feel the same way about The Slip, though I do enjoy it for what it is.)

I personally loved Year Zero.  The whole experimental nature of the entire album came off so fresh.  I agree about The Slip, it's a nice little freebie (Echoplex and Discipline are great) but the album really lacks focus.

I enjoyed Year Zero and its narrative scope, though some of the computery filtered beats blended together more than I liked (mostly around "My Violent Heart" and "The Warning"). The ARG was an awesome and integral part of the album/project. I wonder if the mini-series will ever come into being...

P.S. - I agree with you on your Slip picks.

That drawing of Link is really something. It reminds me of the hand-drawn official artwork they used to use to promote the first few games. Though I've always thought that flashy poses are a bit uncharacteristic of Link, as he doesn't seem like the type to celebrate a victory.

Thanks. I guess you're right about Link being less of a showboat. I thought of the pose as a "I'm fixing my concentration for the next battle" kind of thing... and it just happens to look rad ass.
