Nintendo Gaming / RE:Starfox Adventures, what's the deal?
« on: August 19, 2004, 07:09:59 PM »
Why did people hate it? Because the Star Fox they wanted was the super-fast, arcade-style flight game that we all loved so much on the N64. I liked the game, but dont feel it was the right decision to use the Star Fox license instead. The game was actually going to be just called  "Dinosaur Planet" for the N64, but was scrapped up for the GC, but replaced the original characters with all the familiar faces of the Star Fox franchise. Now, lets just hope that StarFox2 however, wont let the die-hard fans of the 64version down again.

Im really suprised that both Capcom and Nintendo didnt try to at least get the game out for a late November/early December release so that Nintendo would have a big holiday title to go against the new GTA and Halo 2. Then again, the more time this game gets, the better it'll be.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Tales of Legendia?
« on: July 27, 2004, 05:17:02 PM »
The Tales games seem like a perfect fit to me in the Gamecube collection. I am under the belief that the game was been selling VERY well in the U.S. so far ( at my store we ran out of 20 copies on the second day) and I only have my copy because I had to search stores for them. Nintendo knows that it needs a strong RPG series in Japan in order to do well (if you dont believe me look at MS ) and I was suprised that they didn't try to stop the port or the game or even Tales of Rebirth for the PS2.

Id also would have to say that not that many people who are sport fans liked the GC's controller over the PS2 and the XBox.

"Oh so Nintnendo are ahead in console sales worldwide are they? Even ahead of Sony?"

Nintendo is ahead of XBOX in worldwide saels Casual Gamer. The XBox has only sold 500,000 units in Japan, and the people who bought those are pissed off because the one game they wanted for it (True Fantasy Live Online) just got canned.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:XNA-Sony and Nintendo's doom?
« on: July 12, 2004, 02:26:10 PM »
NSoilder, I have always been and always will be a huge Nintendo fan. I really dont care if you disagree with me or not. Like I said, calling this topic "Nintendo's doom" was not the right way to explain it, and should have called it something different. So enough with the stupid flaming because it is uncalled for.

"How exactly is nintendo doomed from the announcement of XNA dude you are stupid as hell ."

OK fine I deserved that, I think I went a little too far when I said it would be nintendo's doom. I just was still on the theory that the next system made by nintendo would not care as much for graphical updates, and when I saw the video, I got real excited.

Im not saying that bad games will become extinct, I am just saying there may be less bad and more good games. Usually the excusses I hear when bad games are made is that they never had the time to finish the game. This tool will help the problem a bit. As long as there are games, there will be bad ones......

What I mainly think that is good about the XNA is that games wont have to be delayed so much, and gives developers less of an excuse for making crappy games. I would like to see Nintendo use this if they could as Koopa Troopa was saying that they were offered to, and to use the technology to make the unique games that they want to make.

Nintendo Gaming / XNA-Sony and Nintendo's doom?
« on: July 09, 2004, 05:57:20 PM »
After watching an article on www.microsoft.com/xna Microsoft may have a huge advantage in the next line of consoles. What is XNA? It is a development program that Microsoft is giving developers to make games faster and easier. The program takes care of the major problems that developers have been having while making a game, and allows them to have more time to make a good game. I was stunned when I saw in full motion a demo of 2 race cars go full force into eachother on how great the graphics looked. Iwata said that "the graphics wont matter" in the next systems, but I really think after watching that video they still may matter. The program will also give developers the oppurtunity to make creative and unique games easier. That is why people have been woundering why the heck Square-Enix would consider developing for XBox's next system.
What I'm worried about is how Nintendo will be able to compete against this.

Nintendo Gaming / Is SquareEnix ignoring GC?

Nintendo Gaming / RE:sort of dissapointed
« on: July 06, 2004, 08:07:05 PM »
ok ok ok ok ok we already had to deal with gaminggod who was down right annoying, so let me put it simple. You dont have to ONLY own a GC to be a Nintendo fan. I own a PS2 and got a Halo XBox for graduation(which is really cool looking by the way ) and am still devoted to Nintendo. The XBox and PS2 both have some solid games on them as well, so if you want to play them, by all means do. It wont change your love for the big N.

TalkBack / RE:The End is Near for Acclaim
« on: July 05, 2004, 03:52:31 PM »
Acclaim only published Crazy Taxi and some other games with Sega first of all, secondly I think that this is a clear sign if you make BAD GAMES like 3D0 and now Acclaim, then you will no survive this business. People are not as stupid as they use to be about buying games where they only judge a game by its license or TV commercials (I was like this at a very young age sadley.....Batman for NES, the Rocketeer...) instead put the freakin time and effort into a game people can ENJOY. Midway and Eidos....your next.........

Im a little confused about this "Wireless Lan" thing. Is it just like wavebird where you can play someone from 50 feet away from eachother or is it online so that i could be in California and playing someone in France at the same time?
