Strider... I love me some Strider. But how ill Phoenix Wright work... Point you to death.

Looking at some of those videos. I can't say I'm to found of Striders lots of Robo-Cougars attack. I think he could have gotten something better. Also I think his swords looks slow for that character.

You know, when Marvel vs. Capcom 3 released, I said that I wasn't buying it because I was going to wait for "Super Marvel vs. Capcom 3". It's bizarre to me that I'll have had to wait only 9 months for the franchise-milking Director's Cut that has everything the first version should have had. In fact, have we even seen something this bad since Castlevania 64 and Legacy of Darkness released on the N64? I wonder if this new MvC3 will actually have a real story mode this time, or if Capcom will just slack off on that again this time as well.

I also thought HUR HUR MILKING for roughly half a second, and then reconsidered:
- 12 characters would cost $60 via dlc (UMvC3 is $40)
- they can fix/change anything they want with a new disc release
- MvC3 desparately needed a lot of things (spectator mode, reworking of x-factor, some character tuning)

TBH, I think the numbers look good for the consumers, it's really a much better value than doing it all via DLC.

I hate all these updated versions, if I baught MvsC3 I would pissed. But still there are those who don't mind I suppose. I can do that with Pokemon mainly because the previous version isn't completely obsolete.

Thanks SUPER for the Soul Calibur V panel info. Hopefully I can actually be there. Going to ask about a Wii U version, which of course will get a usual non answer.

LOL, who is stupid enough to pay $5 for a character? Even $2 is pushing it.

As for Soulcalibur V (one word, not two), meh. I haven't played one since the GameCube entry. I may get it when it's down to $20 or there is a Wii U version.

That's not out until later this summer! It doesn't have any balance changes or anything. Those are just the 'major' updates, I mean, SF2 and Alpha have had a ton of extra versions on pretty much every system

Ok I have to say a Full new Character is worth more than Horse Armor. A lot more work goes into a new character.

Maybe not worse, but no way is any character worth $5 or more (especially when they come out within weeks of the release, so the characters were done and could have been included in the game).

I agree with you *if* they were done and already on the disc (especially Darth Vader and Yoda, they were poop from a butt). Shuma & Jill were included if you bought the collectors' edition (which only cost $3 more from the Capcom store when it came out! And you got a shirt and the other CE junk). I recall Shuma being DLC was the only condition under which Marvel would let Capcom put him in the game, so I don't think you can really blame Capcom for that one.

The MK, BlazBlue, SSF4 AE update characters were legit. MVC3 characters are kind of a scam but only if you're a shitty shopper. SC4 DLC characters were ass. If they're not worth 5 bucks to you, that's fine, but classifying them strictly as a ripoff is brainwrong, especially when a certain segment of the population will spend like 100 hours playing with them.
