it doesn't work for me. I click it,nothing happens. I "right click/save as" it and it jumps from estimated time 2 minutes to 50hours. then about 5 minutes pass by and it stops,says it's done and all you have is like 3-11 seconds of video,which is mostly the gamecube/planetgamecube logo thingie. so...yeah...

i've never played a shining force,but how you described it,it would seem you're switching between roles. so that'd make sense...but still annoying.
in wild arms they sort of munipulated the system. rudy,the supposed main character,said only 2 lines in the whole game,but at key moments. so i guess they wanted you to be saying that...i dunno...but things are different now. even "you" are force to say things.

the non talking main character is an easy explanation. see,in a role playing game YOU play a role. so you are that lead character. you're playing the role of him or her. so YOU'RE walking around and fighting the bad guys and yes,even talking. most all games of long past would follow this simple rule,but now a days the writers just have to make "your" dialouge for better cinematic effects....anyway...

Nintendo has released a GameCube demo disc to retail outlets in North America. The disc contains small playable demos of Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, Viewtiful Joe, Sonic Adventure DX, Splinter Cell, and Soul Calibur II. There are also movies of F-Zero GX, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike, NCAA Football 2004, and Madden NFL 2004. The GameCube demo disc will retail for approximately $10.

walmart always sells ps2 demo discs located on the little checkout counter in the entertainment department....maybe it'll be there too.
they also put the zelda bonus discs there and xboxlive stuff there as well.

I,like many people, am in a situation where I can't get together with my friends much. Espeacially to play games. So, that's the reason I would like for Nintendo to get on with the online stuff. Though I like it better that they're waiting to see for the best way to do this. One thing good I can say for Xbox is their online plan. $50 a year,unlimited play. Yes,very good. So lots of people have gotten this XboxLive. But Sega's plan of paying monthly turned some/most people down because of the hassle. I think Nintendo should go with that sort of a course. Although...
Anyway,this LAN thing won't help me at all. As I said, I'm unable to get together with friends,and besides I only have enough friends for a 4player game anyway. So, I'm afraid this nice little thing won't get my money....sadly......
