I think he meant it was an oxymoron because it's saying it's a paradise for something that there are no more of. I still don't know if it technically qualifies, but I see his logic.

I should have looked at it a bit more closely, but it still isn't right.

Perhaps a paradox would better describe it technically, but since it seems people got my point I would say oxymoron works.

Quote
Traditionally, the word oxymoron is used in cases where the contradiction is deliberate, its purpose being to emphasize or heighten a contrast. The use of oxymoron as a synonym for contradiction in terms is considered incorrect by some speakers and writers, and is perhaps best avoided in certain contexts.

I wonder if Suda deliberately chose that subtitle. Don't some people see the whole game as having deep meanings from the sparse city design to the bland and non-interactive NPCs wandering around?

You can find symbolism in anything if you look closely enough, but that doesn't mean it was intentional. The only way to know would be if the original artist says "Yeah that's totally what I was going for" but even then you have to take them at their word.

I'd take his word for it, but only if he said it from his toilet seat.

The second boss fight in NMH1 might have symbolized family issues at the end with the dying speech. Maybe.

A pity my wallet's probably tied up for a couple months at least on other games, because from the looks of that IGN review Suda 51 may have actually created his first good game with this sequel.  I have to wonder why he didn't make the scorpion-tossing minigame a retro game this time but left it as it was in a shoddy overworld.

killer7 GC was good, more worthwhile than Dead Space Extraction.

Killer7 needs another game released or an NPC version. I'm so used to Wii controls that I can't play it with a GC controller.

I find it funny that IGN likes to make most of the better Wii games just a point or two lower than a 9. I never was concerned much before, and they have given around a dozen titles 9 or more, but its just starting to feel nit-picky to see games be one or two points shy of a 9. Maybe I just don't like looking at decimal numbers and prefer even 1-10 ratings.

I'd dig a NMH DS that looks like GTA Chinatown Wars. Zoom it in a bit more, change the perspective more and add Zelda DS style touch controls for movement and attacks/finishes and it could be quite fun.

Finished an early dinner so i can play this the rest of the nigiht. Impressions? Not until i'm done with the fucking game cuz i'm sure it'll be too awesome to put down ;)

As for a NMH for DS.. that could work, though I'm curious how a 2d one would work, just cuz.

Anyway, i'll see you guys around.. i'm about to get my mind blown. LATER FUCKHEADS
