Amen. I got mine for $18 a few years ago.... but $3 is nothing in the face of such awesome power. It's the ONLY way to play Powerstone!

I'm sure if you can find Optimus Prime and Bomberman in the same game, anything can happen.

System-specific VGA boxes are normally much cheaper than RCA input boxes.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: GameCube Controller Question
« on: March 26, 2004, 03:48:03 PM »
Hah, as I type this, I'm fixing the left analog stick on one of my controllers. I just need to find the crazy glue, and I'll be done.

Here's why the sticks get worn out. I'm waiting for my optical mouse to come in the mail, so the ball mouse I used made everything look sloppy.

http://jigoku.studio-zoe.com/temp/gcnstick.png

In figure A, we see the analog stick without the plastic cap on it. Note the stick in the middle.
In figure B, a closeup of the stick. Two posts come off of it about a quarter inch down. Those posts go through notches, and when you move the stick, it pulls on these notched parts and blah blah blah.
In figure C, you'll note that the post looks chewed up. This is from constantly pushing the post against the notch. It gradually wears away. Near as I can figure, gluing the post into the notch CAREFULLY (if you gle everything together, you just killed the stick mechanism), the stick should respond normally... but super glue doesn't held up to great amounts of stress. Anyway, the controller should work fine after that, and the only problem I forsee is the stick not standing perfectly straight up when at zero position.... but that's not big deal, it won't be severe.

No email. This is more than enough reason to make my spiteful self move to X-Box.

HEY NINTENDO! Go to hell.

My personal insignia, the hexagonal skull. Emblem of the Machine Empire (clan?), no relation to Power Rangers. I try to tweak it to suit the subject of the board I'm posting on. On the Robocop Archive board, it's brushed steel with a blue tint, similar to the Robocop logo. Here, and on other game-related boards, I use the Gamecube version.

I can't believe how many anime fans hate the current Zelda style...

I haven't gotten an email yet... Way to screw up release dates, Nintendo.

With what? Certainly not the N64, and Gameboy is a cheap win, because there isn't any real competition.

That's so ignorant it isn't even funny. MOST anime is garbage. The only stuff that gets fansubbed is shows people will like, and even fewer shows manage to get licensed for western broadcast and sale.

FLCL is an interesting retelling of the history of the twentieth century. Everything is symbolic. On the flip side, Shin Seiki Evangelion was a huge joke Gainax pulled, and almost everyone fell for it. It's a gag show, wrapped in the illusion of depth. Blue Gender isn't even as good as Sentou Yosei Yukikaze, or even Kiddy Grade.

I wonder who owns the copyright for Rainbow Bright now... I was planning on "updating" it... but with my schedule, it might take four MORE years for me to get started on it. The Strawberry Shortcake comic rocked ass.

I saw FLCL as it was being subbed... It's brilliant, but I think I'd be wasting my time explaining how, here.

GBASP is only great for midgets and lobster-people. It's not meant to be held by adult human hands.

Not in particular, I just know this junk because I used to be a MASTAH with Samurai Shodown. Kuroko is the referee guy, and is a playable character in two of the games. Truth be told, i study whatever interests me at the moment. Quantum physics, game theory, microprocessors, biofeedback, cookie recipes, you name it. Google is an excellent professor.

EDIT: ARGH! I have to wait a whole minute to edit ONE LETTER?

Battlefield 1942 (Xiado). No mods or expansions. My video card is a POS, so everything but regular BF runs like a one-legged dog.

OMFG this board is stupid. Editing a post counts as making a new post (in regards to the spam filter)?!

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Question about PS2 controller thing...
« on: August 06, 2003, 04:48:57 AM »
I've got an adapter.... it's kinda flaky. All of the DS2's buttons are analog, so you have to press them pretty hard for the Gamecube to see them. -_- I don't have a steering controller, though. I mean, no gimmick controller can match the awesome power of the POWER GLOVE.

Hey, I want to see an updated Power Glove for the cube.

The guys in black are called kuroko. They do what they do in the vid... help with Noh plays and whatnot, as invisible puppeteers and prop wranglers.

To actualy validate posting, the article says that there are two channels for the dealy. One for system to system communication, and one for connecting to a previously existing wireless network.
