Donkey Kong Jungle Fever
« on: July 14, 2005, 04:44:50 AM »
The crew at The Mushroom Kingdom are reporting that Capcom is working on a new arcade game called "Donkey Kong Jungle Fever". No clue on what kind of game it could be, but based on the title, it could be a sequel to "Donkey Kong Jungle Beat"...

How can the sequel to the best game ever not be devloped by the best dev team in the world?
Capcom need to stop poaching Nintendo's stuff.

WHAT?!

Arcade game... for arcades, or on GC?

CAPCOM? I don't think they could pull off a game like Jungle Beat, they woudln't do it justice. Jungle Beat was developed by the DREAM TEAM of staff that makes up Tokyo EAD. If it's by Capcom, it has to be another type of game, unrelated to Jungle Beat.

Nuts on both of you.  Jungle Beat developed by Capcom would be great!  It would take a hit in the level design, but the character designs would be awesome-er!

This is an arcade game and arcades are dead in North America.  Therefore most of us will probably never get to play it  whether we want to or not unless it's ported.  So be glad that if you're going to miss out on a game it's made by Capcom instead of Nintendo.

My friend Jon thought that Donkey Konga was racist. Adding "jungle fever" will just make him flip out.

This sounds more like a version of Donkey Konga than a version of Jungle Beat...But then again, it could be a completely different genre altogether...

I was a bit worried at first, but then I remembered Capcom was behind the fantastic Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap.

NO!  It was FLAGSHIP that did Minish Cap...The main body of Capcom had nothing to do with it! </defiant>

If it were the sequel and it was made by Capcom, what a disappointment it would be... I LOVED Jungle Beat (as many of us did), and I don't think Capcom could even come close to surpassing it. It's really a shame that the bongos and lack of advertising killed the sales, because it was one title that was just brilliant.
