Special Edition Gyakuten Saiban in Japan
« on: July 11, 2005, 08:17:35 PM »
Phoenix Wright's Japanese counterpart will come in a special edition with the coolest DS stylus yet.

Gyakuten Saiban DS (known here in the United States as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney) is still a few months off from its Japanese release on September 15.  However, that didn't stop Capcom from announcing a special edition of the courtroom drama game.

The package will include a copy of the game, a poster, soundtrack CD, wrist strap and special stylus.  Here's a picture of the two latter objects in the pack:

Yep, that's a finger pointing on the end of the stylus, just like the finger of the star attorney featured in the game.  The wrist strap also doubles as a screen cleaner, with the phrase displayed on it appropriately saying "Objection!"  The special pack will retail for Â¥7,140, or around $64.

Special edition packages are pretty rare to see in North America, let alone for a handheld game, so it's doubtful we're going to see this stuff over here.  Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is scheduled to hit the States before the end of the year.

I am totally jealous.  I was irked that I didn't get my pink stylus with Kirby CC.  Now I'm just plain ticked there's no chance in hell I'll ever see one of these in person.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Question:  What is the meaning of life, the universe and everything?
Answer: 42.

By changing the letters of the "word" Zig to their numerical counterparts (A = 1, B = 2, C = 3, etc.) and then adding them, you get the number 42.  Which is supposed to be the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything.  KDR is suggesting that Zig is more important than it actually is (ie, an awful Engrish translation).

Sure sucked the fun out of that one, eh?

Question: What is the meaning of life, the universe and everything?

No, definitely not. 42 is the answer to the great question about life, the universe and everything but we don't know what that question IS.

ZIG is the name of those fighter ships the player is controlling in Zero Wing.

They should have saved time on character creation and just licensed the "Harvey Birdman" franchise...
