Warning - Full Throttle: Fury
« on: March 03, 2006, 07:11:18 PM »
Okay, here's a warning out there for some of you.

Coke has recently released a second "Energy" Drink using the "Full Throttle" name.  It's sub-branded "Fury" and comes in a mostly-red can.

But this stuff is AWFUL.

Now, for anyone familiar with Energy Drinks, you know that, typically, they don't have the best of flavor.. but generally you can at least grow to like the flavor.  However, this Full Throttle: Fury stuff is nasty.  I buy pretty much any new soda that comes out to try it (although I generally avoid the diet stuff) and always force myself to drink the entire bottle so I can try and really decide if I like it.  I simply could not finish even half the can of this stuff.

Picture Ian, eating/drinking nothing but tobasco sauce for three days straight.  Now, put your lips on his bum-hole and hand him a Nintendo Press Release saying that NES downloads on the Revolution are going to be $50 each.  This Full Throttle: Fury tastes something akin to what I would imangine this would taste like.

So, be warned.  Do not spend money on this stuff and if you're offered a free one, run away.  Fast-like.

You mean the game Full Throttle by Lucas Arts?

Who the hell remembers that game aside from a small segment of hardcore gamers?

It was a great game, yeah, but it's nearly 10 years old, right?

coke should make an energy drink with cocaine.

S_B, if you like those games they don't really get any better than Grim Fandango.

To be more accurate, it used coca leaves, of which cocaine is an extract. Cocaine itself was never an ingredient and only appeared in trace amounts.

Today's coke uses spent coca leaves, where the cocaine has already been extracted.
