I was expecting this to mean that Nintendo was actually increasing the supply, but 1 million in August just sounds like "on schedule" to me.  If they launched in Japan and North America in mid-October and produced 1 million per month, that would only be about 3 million for launch.  Not bad at all, but not unusually high.

Still, good to see everything is on schedule, this feels like a much less rushed launch than Xbox 360 or Nintendo DS.
That's my opinion, not yours.

Indeed, it appears that Nintendo has things in order for this upcoming launch, hopefully the games follow suit and don't feel rushed!

Motion control chips...you'd need 1 for each individual controller right? That means Nintendo would need more than the 1 million that PixArt anticipates sending by august.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.
