TalkBack / RE:Nintendo Announces Wireless GBA Link
« on: September 26, 2003, 03:52:42 AM »
You stole my thunder Berto2k

I was gonna say the 'exact' same thing.

I would really love to see a GCN/GBA wireless adapter since we use the Wavebirds for one reason and that
is a 9month old Golden Retriever in the house .. wires can be a fun toy for her.  Wireless is the only way to go
for my family!

I'm 35 and bought my 10 year old daughter a Gamecube, a GBA, and 5 games for Christmas 2002.  Animal Crossing was one of the games and she got me hooked on it so that when the GBA SP was launched I went out and bought another Gamecube, the SP, and another copy of Animal Crossing because she was hogging it all.  I too have been a big fan of Nintendo since I first bought a NES and then have kept up with each Nintendo Console released after that.  We currently have 31 games and are awaiting Mario Kart so we can go head to head.  (She usually wins .. young whippersnapper)

After reading these posts and the average age I don't see how anyone can call the GCN a 'kiddie' box!

I have a Sony 61" Projection Tv and have had my GCN hooked to it via s-video for around 8 months now.
I have yet to notice any burn-ins (might be there and I just don't notice them).
Between my daughter and me we play it about 2-3 hours a night on the projection (mostly her .. cough cough).
As to quality .. it's pretty good but with most projection TVs you can't expect to sit 3 feet from it and enjoy a great picture.
I can't notice a difference in picture quality between the GCN connected to the Samsung 36" Tv or the one connected to the projection Tv.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

General Gaming / RE: Game Cube to DVi connector, ¿it's possible?
« on: August 19, 2003, 06:57:11 AM »
I'm not sure myself .. but am interested in your results when and if you try it since I just ordered a Samsung 19" LCD monitor.
I tried playing my GCN and PS2 on my Samsung SyncMaster 170T (older version) TFT monitor.
I ran it through my PC video card which is a Asus 9560 Videosuite .. has s-video/composite in and out and supports dual monitors DVI.
However I didn't like the quality of the picture I was getting.  Seemed fuzzy around the edges of certain objects in every game.
Shrug .. maybe it's because my Syncmaster 170T is first generation or the fact that I had to run it through the TV tuner to get it to display.

Nintendo Gaming / Animal Crossing Question
« on: May 23, 2003, 05:44:50 AM »
Is it possible to get rid of those annoying signs that are scattered about the town that
gives you hints and information.  They were ok for when I first started the game but I would
really like to get rid of them.

Does anyone know if that's even possible? I did a search already for Animal Crossing related
links here and nothing was in relation to my question.

Thanx!
