Nintendo Unveils Club Nintendo Elite Status Rewards
« on: July 01, 2010, 08:11:41 AM »

Gold members get a calendar, and Platinum members can choose between the calendar or a Mario figurine.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/23592

The 2009-2010 Elite Status Rewards at Club Nintendo have been revealed to be a collectible Mario character figurine for Platinum members, and a 2011 calendar for Gold members.

The figurine consists of Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, Toad, Bowser, and a Goomba. Platinum members can also pick the calendar if they choose. Rewards will be sent to members by December 2010.

Club Nintendo members who reach certain point plateaus are eligible for rewards at the end of the Club Nintendo year (July 1 to June 30). Last year's rewards were a Punch-Out!! WiiWare title, a Mario hat, and a calendar. Unlike this year, Gold members were the only people who could get the calendar.

What a great prize!  Yay!
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

that's a no-brainer.

I actually really like the platinum award and I'm happy they revealed it today and I already ordered it.

I'm sort of sad they don't have a choice like last year between two things. It shall go with the rest of my collection of mario stuff.

I'm kind of bummed about the chotsky.

Would much rather get an exclusive WiiWare thing again like last year.

I am a little disappointed. I guess the figurine is OK, but I would rather have had something like the Super Mario Galaxy 2 soundtrack.

Some Free WiiWare points would be a nice prize. Sorta like a Cash Back reward program for Platinum Members.

Can't say I really care for a calender or some toys.

edit:
Do you get the whole thing like this?

or do you only get to pick one figurine?

edit: It's a Mario CharacterS Figurine

the way it's worded in the article made me think you only got one character.

You get the whole thing.  It's about 4" tall and 4" wide.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Not what I wanted from Club Nintendo this year (I already have tons of figurines I don't have space to display, and I'd actually use soundtrack CDs), but I'll definitely take it over the Mario hat from last year.

Nintendo's site must be getting hammered since it takes forever to load, it says I don't qualify for my Elite status reward and no it says the elite status reward page does not exist.

Club nintendo site is a big turd right now. Can't redeem my reward. Now I'll surely forget.

I gotta step in and defend my writing. I say the figurine consists of so-and-so characters. I don't say anything about a choice or multiple figurines. :P

4" wide x 4" tall? What it is, a cake toy?
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

I understood it on a re-read, but you said a Mario Character Figurine as in a single character (I hadn't seen the pic yet)

Was anybody able to actually redeem this yet?  Or are other people running into the same errors with the website not recognizing your status when you try to redeem the figurine?

It took me about 20 tries until I finally got through.  Just be patient and/or try again in a couple days.

It took me quite a while, but I was finally able to submit the order.

The prize is kind of cool, I guess, but I'd much rather have something usable, like clothing or games (no, I do not consider a paper products usable in this day and age).

I got in early and had no problem. So mine is ordered  :)  I registered Super Mario galaxy 2, and Picross 3D and did some survey's now that it counts toward 2011. That is when the website started crashing on me. I still have a few surveys to finish but whatever I can do that later when the site isn't over loaded.

It's better than the Mario hat, it can be a nice display piece. But I'd still rather have a game of some kind. Although, as someone else said, clothes would be nice too. Ones that can actually be worn, since the Mario hat isn't intended to "function as a hat for practical use."

I was going to say T-shirts like the ones Club Nintendo Japan recently got, but I already get so many of those from various game events, how about Nintendo boxers?
