We also need more movie suggestions people. Thy well runeth dry.

I think I'm gonna suggest Aliens & Nightmare on Elm Street (1 and/or 4)

Both are fine movies, though I'm trying to think of more obscure movies to nominate.  You might want to pick the original Alien over Aliens, just because I think fewer people have seen that one.  Unfortunately, most of the notable stuff I can think of is animated (The Great Mouse Detective and The Iron Giant) or a cult classic or some kind already (Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure), so I'll have to give this more thought.

I found a movie called "Class of 1999" on youtube. It is about gangs in a rundown high school battling pyshotic robot teachers. I nominate this fil for the vote.

Speaking of a Highway to Hell, I'll throw in Ghost Rider and Daredevil (director's cut only, if it can be found online).  I've been meaning to see those two for years, but have never gotten around to it.

i never thought Ghost Rider was a terrible movie, but I think Nicolas Cage was miscast. Sam Elliot was great, I liked how the movie addressed the dual Ghost Riders. The villains didn't do it for me either. Still, I think they can save the franchise even with the same actors. I think its possible to make a sequel drastically better than the first iteration. Ghost Rider gets much more interesting outside of origin story. I think the special effects were pretty decent, and introducing Vengeance could be pretty awesome.

Alien
Nightmare on Elm Street
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
Class of 1999
Slither (I will assume the 2006 movie) - I liked this movie.
John Carpenter's The Thing
The Faculty
Career Choices (Only found a page on IMDB, no other mention anywhere - 2009? Career Choice? Career Opportunities?)
Highway to Hell (Didn't find in the usual places)
Ghost Rider
Dare Devil
Black Dynamite

Those are the suggestions so far, so I'm gonna search and see how many of those I can find streaming at various sources.
If you know where already and would like to save me the trouble, post a link or PM or something.

p.s. Vampire's Kiss expires on Hulu in 9 days.

I vote for class of 1999 because it is a cheesy b-movie that never really got its due. Unlike a number of the other suggested movies on the list.

i just watched Monkey Shines, there is so much unintentionally funny **** going on. Unintentionally funny, should be the key word when picking movines. If your joking to yourself "a monkey should jump out of the guys body during the surgery scene", and then it happens, then that is the time of movie that we should watch.  Of course it has to be available too.

also, i dont know if anyone else knew this, but http://www.imdb.com/features/video/browse/film/ has a goldmine of movies.

I just thought of another good movie to suggest that suits our purposes rather well: it's entertaining, but monumentally stupid.  It's a cult classic, but it's obscure enough that there's a good chance many people have never heard of it, let alone seen it.  It's also a movie that has vexed me for coming up on 15 years or so because it's one I've never actually seen all the way from the beginning.  Somehow, I always miss the first 10-15 minutes of it every time I try to see it.  I am speaking, of course, of Big Trouble in Little China.   :P:

Watching on Hulu, so I'm only gonna comment during the commercial breaks

The movie starts off ok, with Nic Cage on his way to his place with some chick from the club.
It's a shame (for the kid listening in the hall) that a bat interrupted their little session (which also made the kids week) causing the chick to run out of the apartment half nekkid.

{CB}

He even pulled another chick at a different bar the next nite. Nic got game?
Ooops, this chick took a bite out of his neck, but it's ok, because he hit on her, so he was fair game.

But what is up with that accent? It sounds so awkward.
I can't really place what it sounds similar too, but it's pretty bad.

{CB}

LOL
"Am I getting throoo to yooooo... Alba!?"

WTF is he on?  Poor lady, he is such a dickhead boss. I would hate to work for him.

I also don't remember seeing a bite mark on his neck, but he is wearing a band-aid on the same side of his neck where he cut himself shaving.

Oh No, Vampire chick is back and forcing him to standup the 1st girl from the club....

OMG Why is he chasing Alba down the halls of the office building? LOL
& into the ladies bathroom!? Hahaha, this fool has lost his mind.

{CB}

Now all the execs are sitting around laughing about it.....
Nic Cage's acting is so bad.... The fake laugh is worse than the fake accent.
It's a wonder how his career went upward from this point on.

"ABCDEFG...........XYZ!!!!" - Cage

"Oh good, you know your ABC's" - Therapist

::Nic Cage picks up item on secretary's desk, looks at it and throws it in trash::
"He's so eccentric" - secretary
"No he a fuckin dick" - me

"You are the lowest of the low Alba, no one is lower than you, I don't care what you think or what you say, you will always be the dirt beneath my feet" (paraphrased) - Nic Cage

Can this man be anymore of a dick? really?

And then the Church cross making him weak in the knees...

AHHH!!!! He ate the live roach. I wonder if he did that for real?

This fool done lost his damn mind....

Went to Alva's house on a day she called in sick and convinced her to come back into work so he could yell at & harass her some more. Thats the whole reason she called in sick in the 1st place.

(p.s. is he starting to think he is a Vamp servant like that crazy bug eating guy from Bram Stoker Dracula? I can't remember the name.)

{CB}

He just scared himself in the mirror

& I was wrong, he thinks he's becoming a vampire, not a servant.

"Oh where am I? where am I?" - Nic Cage

"Your in the damn bathroom, and I'm trying to take a **** so either shut up or get the **** out!!" - man in stall #2

Now he has really lost it.... chasing Alva down the halls again
"Too Late, Too Late, Too Late, Too Late, Too Late"

I have a feeling she is gonna shoot at him with the blanks and he's gonna think he's invincible because he's a vampire.

"Don't rape me!!"

I'll do it if you don't shoot me."

"Fine I'll shoot myself"

not that it will do much good since the gun is full of blanks.

"I'm a vampire!!! I'm a vampire!!!"

Poor poor Alva.

{CB}

L-O-L

Cheap Plastic Vampire Teeth bought a the local costume shop - $3.99
Nic Cage wearing them because he thinks he's a vampire and hasn't grown his own fangs yet - PRICELESS

L-M-F-A-O

This part you have to hear for yourself.... no seriously (about 1:12:00 should do it.)

Using his couch flipped over as a make shift coffin.... his morning look is hilarious too.

Then he goes to the club and actually kills some poor girl with cheap plastic teeth.... (the last 9 minutes have been pure comedy though)
The look back @ 1:19:20 is LOLworthy but not as LOLworthy as

CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP

But then sadly OM NOM NOM :(

{CB}

Well in the end he gets exactly what he wanted indirectly from who should have given it to him.
But really, there was about a 10 minute unintentionally funny block of cheap plastic Vamp teeth, that was the best part of this movie.
I'm still baffled how Nic Cage became a movie star after this turd of a movie though. Just about everything about it was badly acted on Nic Cage's part, but also explains so many of his other movies, like the one with the bees and the bear suit.

The End.

New Poll is up, and does anyone else plan on watching this movie?

If you watch on Hulu I atleast suggest starting at the second to last commercial break around the 1hr 10minute mark and watch for the next 10-15 minutes. Nothing but comedy as soon as he gets those Plastic Vamp Teeth.

There were 2 streaming options that required no "obtaining" and the DivX option loads very quickly if you have a capable computer and good internet connection. All my screen caps were taken from the Hulu version (hence the {CB} which was for commercial break) and that played smooth with good PQ.

Nicolas Cage is a horrible actor.

And on that high note, I have started watching Vampire's Kiss.

0:05:59

Oh man, where to begin.  I'm only 5 minutes in, and this movie is already not looking very good.  I don't know which is worse: the incredibly bland and boring 1980s TV-style credits sequence with credits just superimposed over random shots of buildings (because, you know, nothing screams comedy or suspense horror quite like random shots of New York buildings in the morning with cheesy orchestral music BLARING in the foreground), which then transitions sloppily into a scene of Cage with a psychiatrist (the credit music rather LOUDLY blaring over his narration)...or Nicholas Cage's incredibly obnoxious performance in this movie so far.  Seriously, I've seen bad Nicholas Cage before, but this movie hits a level of irritation I've never seen before.  Instead of his usual somewhat-bored droning, we get a higher-pitched "funny man" performance that is as baffling as it is ear-bleedingly awful.  It's like he's unsuccessfully trying to imitate Balki from Perfect Strangers.

And that's your random 80s/early 90s pop culture reference for the day, kids.  :cool;

I should also point out that the version of this movie I'm watching is taken from the DVD release.  From the looks of it, this is the best this movie has ever looked and if that is true that's just sad because this movie screams "low budget" from the washed-out video quality to the shoddy camera work to the sloppy editing.
