I would give it a 9.3/10.0
What would you give it, Feep? -scratch that....it's at the top

Nintendo Gaming / Zelda Movie??
« on: March 01, 2003, 06:12:18 AM »
as Sion441 said, "That would be interesting but highly unlikely that it would be any good"
It would be kind of weird. Then they have to voice Link or make him totally silent.

General Gaming / PS2 CONTROLLER ON PC

Nice....Though I don't play to many games. Maybe I could get Splinter Cell and play in on the GC's controller...

Nintendo Gaming / Super Mario Sunshine General Help

You need two hands.
I use the normal nozzel. Spray until he reaches his maximum height. Once he goes all the way back, spray again. Eventually he will start spinning WILDLY then you can stop spraying.

Nintendo Gaming / Wireless Game Boy
« on: March 01, 2003, 05:55:31 AM »
Nintendo was debating whether to put in wireless technology, but they left it out. It be able to be hooked up to the GC with the wavebird receiver. Maybe because of size issue it was left out. But I have a strong feeling it will be in the next one when they aren't making a super compact Gameboy like the GBA: SP.

Nintendo Gaming / Whats up with Animal Crossing 2
« on: March 01, 2003, 05:48:19 AM »
It's gases.

Anyway,
-online option - still has password system
-the ability to meet each other and talk via a new headset....much like in Xbox Live (curses....I want that headset)
-a bigger place map
-a city connected to the town
-a couple more city next to yours in the town allowing a total of 16 people (4 per town of 4)
-a car to get downtown
-a big shopping mall
-a cool new GBA accessory that you can connect to your Gamecube
-a mail box (the blue ones) near your house so you don't have to walk all the way to the post office.
-more furniture
-improved graphics would be nice, but I could live without them. As long as I know what's going on in the game and looks somewhat 3d, I'm good.
-Perhaps AC on GBA. Then you could play Animal Crossing on your GBA with a cool adapter where you can hook up your Mem card to the GBA......somehow......maybe......
-more trash to pick up in your home, instead of cocroaches. Trash appears in your house if you miss a day and you have to clean it up everyday to get a good HRA rating.

Wow....That would be awesome if they really did this all. I think about 0-2 of them will really happen.

November is "Boom Time" for Nintendo. Let's look at the past.....

Nov. 18, 2001 - Nintendo GameCube Released
Really Big Games
-Super Smash Bros. Melee
-Pikmin

Fall 2002
Really Big Games
-Metroid Prime
-Star Fox Adventures
-Animal Crossing

I know I've left out a lot of other games, but these are really big games. Hopefully, with all these announcements of sequels, such as Mario 128, Pikmin 2, F-Zero, and a variety of other games, Nintendo's Fall of 2003 will be a good time in sales...

34
That was kind of off topic....

Anyway, you are SUPOSED to open the disk cover before powering off, but it really doesn't matter unless you are not saving... or playing Animal Crossing as ShockingAlberto stated.

What? No Zelda review. Curses to EGM for always getting games early... Wait... that's a good thing.

Thanks for the update. I don't get GameInformer.

TalkBack / Metal Gear Solid on GameCube - CONFIRMED
« on: February 27, 2003, 03:55:24 PM »
I'm happy it's confirmed even though I probably won't buy. There is a chance in the future closer to release... I'm looking at Splinter Cell on the Gamecube. But back to the point, I think this will help Nintendo a lot, especially if it is is brand new.

Not Nintendo...Capcom. Perhaps some changes, in gameplay, but nothing major. I expect a continuation of the story... somehow.

Though I'd feel sorry for anyone who already owned A Link to the Past and bought the GBA version just for the Four Swords.

Four Swords is awesome. It is almost worth it alone. Plus, you get to play Link to the Past on a portable version.

TalkBack / Network Play in Pikmin 2?
« on: February 25, 2003, 06:57:50 PM »
The new characters head is hilarious....

Since so little information has been released, it is possible that the multi-player is not set in stone. I'm not sure it is online, but the screenshot is pretty convincing. Maybe you have to network two Gamecubes. (is that still a rumor?)

Alright! One more GBA Zelda game. I can't wait 'til E3.

Capcom is  doing this one again. Looks like Nintendo likes their style.

Yah...but it is kind of small...

Avatars would be nice. There should be an option in the customize menu to turn it on and off. Then everybody is happy!

General Chat / Hello, PGCers!

If you are on a slow connection, choose the Standard Graphics mode to decrease download times.
(Standard mode will remove all graphics, such as emotion icons and [img] tags, from the messages. Some functionality icons will remain.)

The above is from the customization menu. Perhaps they could do the same thing with the avatars...

Do you know any really good sites with the sheet music for songs from video games, especially Nintendo music? I am also looking for some mp3's of some of these songs as well.

Nintendo Gaming / wavebird?
« on: February 23, 2003, 10:13:19 AM »
Nope...never happened to me...maybe your batteries are low.

Sometimes, when I put in the reciever when the GC is on, it takes a little while to restore the connection with the wavebird.

Eternal Darkness

And...of course... The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

The 100 feet+ test was done w/ brand new batteries. Twenty feet is for almost any battery level.

I think it will do well at lauch, slump, and rise again when everyone who bought at launch tells their friends and such...
