Forums aren't so new anymore
« on: October 16, 2003, 08:20:31 AM »
Quick suggestion to remove the "all new" from teh forums link on the main page.  On smaller resolutions it makes it go down to a new line which is kind of ugly.  Eh, I know i'm being picky, but they have been all new for a while.  =P

I second this, things are only new for what, a few days now in this crazy society we live in? The new board has been up for months, it's MEGA not new.

It should be

"PGC's ULTRA FUN-TASTIC FORUMS FEATURING KNOWSNOTHING!!!!!!!"

I think they should keep the new.  The word "new" attracts new people to join.  And so does adding a random thousand number at the end.  (i.e. All new PGC forums 3000)

Do that and see how many newbs we get.  You'll be surprised.

Radio stations seem to keep the "All-New" tag for ages, why not PGC?

"The all new 88.8Q is sponsoring their 8th annual BBQ (88Q) benefit."

Second thought, lose the "all new". Heck, this post will lose the "new" tag the second time you read it.

I actually noticed the forums because of ALL NEW in caps... that's why I'm here.  I realized that they were not that new very shortly after arriving, but it did pull me in.

hey, i noticed you got rid of the ALL NEW FORUMS.  nice job.

...now if we can just do something about a new forum poll.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I had been wanting to fix that for a while, and I finally asked Rick to do it while he was already messing around with some layout stuff on the site.  He also took down the Wario quote on the front page, which had been there since last E3.
