There is no godfather in this game. The mafia are all equal partners and any of them can call a hit.

well techincally yes but we all had to agree on who to kill its possible that our votes didnt rach teh remaining mafia meber in time before our deaths and he/she just didnt get it in on time. you will have to ask wandering for sure. either way we pretty much lost already.

Ha ha ha! I might be able to in some way. There's no cat model in any Source game right now, but I could have a citizen shouting at a Civil Protection Officer that the Combine just lost because the cop didn't give him a beating yesterday with his electric billy club.

Too bad, Kairon. Still, an excellant showing. I was talking with Shift Key a day or two ago about this game. It was shortly after I gave my motivational speech. Anyways, I remarked to him that I felt this game was really between two people, Kairon and the hidden mafia member. You two are the titans of this game. You were instrumental in eliminating 3 mob members and it was a cat and mouse game between you and the last mafia member as the mafia member had to avoid your suspicons and hit a few other people they thought were closer to finding out their identity. And then there was that missed hit which might have gone to you and gave you a couple of days. The problem was, I knew that if the mafia member escaped the vote, you would be the number one hit. And so, these last two days have been the clash of the titans of this game but you have been bested. I still salute you though.

And so here we are. The game can only go two more days at the most now. It all depends if the townies rest or continue today and if the mafia member isn't voted out. 3 townies, 1 mafia member. This is interesting.

I really thought the mafia might have been washed up but I have to hand it to the remaining mafia member. They have been able to hide this long. Congrats. At this point, I am going to declare the remaining mafia player as the best player this game. Let's face it. In some ways, this became a one person mafia early on, especially with Kairon naming 3 of the 4 left. So, this person has had to fight on their own to win. Really have to hand it to this final member for the showing they have had. And if this last member can win this game, this will be one of the finest mafia performances ever. One that will go in my mafia lore. Can't wait to see what happens.

By the way, another record has been set. This is officially the longest mafia ever. I was doing some checking and the previous record holder was my mafia game: Mafio - GX. That game went 11 days voting and Day 12 was the end story and winners declared. Even more interesting was the fact that Mafio - GX had 34 people playing. This one had what? 20, 21. Thank you Wandering for creating a mafia game that just never ends.

I am quite impressed with this Mafia Member as well. It looks as if he really gained the trust of a few key townies, and kept them alive to manipulate the vote. Tomorrow is the final day of Mafia...either the Townies vote the correct Mafia member, or the Mafia kills a townie, and it is a tie one to one Mafia/townie, and we know how those turn out (Mafia win).

Though I would just like to point out. I did tell everyone I was a townie. If you would have lessoned to me, and voted out your other suspicious players, perhaps I we could have won easier.

No, according to the rules, if there's just one mafia member and one townie left, then it comes down to a coin toss. The votes are tied and Wandering has to toss a coin to determine who gets killed before starting the next day.

This means if it comes down to 1 vs 1, a coin toss decides the game. Even then it is not certain.

WANDERING! BE CONSISTENT AND FOLLOW THIS RULE AT LEAST DESPITE YOU NOT FOLLOWING THE OTHER RULES! BLARGH!

Nice try, but your fancy lawyer tricks won't help the townies. A big, bad mafia member can overpower one measly townie - that's just common sense. It's not something that needs to be explicitly stated.

Actually follow the logic of a day of Mafia.

If two players are left. They would each vote for each other TIE. That would be a coin flip.

However, Mafia still have the power to hit and kill somebody. So the Mafia would be able to put in a hit and kill the townie. Now even though there is a tie, the action favors the Mafia member because he was able to just use a hit and kill the townie.

Now no coin toss is needed.

But the mafia kill comes THREE HOURS after the vote out happens, it comes THREE HOURS AFTER because that's when the continue/rest votes are tallied!

For those who enjoyed the albeit brief game, there is planning underway for the next Mafia game. I found some inspiration after speaking to various people, and I'll reveal more details as the game approaches.

Want a clue?
The playing field will be more level than in any other mafia game previous.

A tenative start time is Sunday the 4st of March, depending on what happens with Segagamer's game. Voting will be done on a 24 hour basis, the deadline will be around about 0900 GMT because that is the one time I have available each day.

I'll post a signup sheet in a few days with more information.

You may notice that I haven't made another Lamarr comic. I know, I know, but I've just gotten the latest version of Garry's Mod and I've been doing some fiddiling around with it.

Like this one about next-gen graphics.

And this one, that I may elaborate on later. Bonus points to whoever can identify what level and NPCs are used.

EDIT: I got the last comic done. And damn it, right when I delete the .psd file, I see I forgot to turn italics off for the final panel. Grr.
