Got the game first day and have been loving it.

Beat it once, restarted it and... oh man, I'm realizing how lucky I was the first time I played the final level as its cruel at the very end to get that far and die so quickly to have to do it all over again. Too bad money collected doesn't count to your total unless you beat the level, as at least I would feel productive with all those failed attempts to beat it again this afternoon.

What other NES era game series should Wayforward remake?

DuckTales 2 would be awesome. Its a fun follow up and is really expensive right now for a brand new cart.

Though I do have to question Sakurai's refusal to give Ganondorf his own completely unique move set. He wouldn't even be in the game if it wasn't for being similar to Falcon. At least in Melee anyway.

As someone who mained Ganondorf for two games but doesn't really care for playing Captain Falcon, I would wager it has a lot to do with the very different playstyles between the two. Of the Melee clones, those two were the most different.

I think the game benefits from having a "heavy weight Captain Falcon".

...However, ideally that spot shouldn't be going to Ganondorf. Adding in Black Shadow from F-Zero  with the current Ganondorf moveset, and then making room for Ganondorf to be truly his own character, would be my dream solution for this.

Since Smash Balls appear to be back, I wonder what MM's would be.. shouldn't be another super charged shot (ala Samus) so I was thinking.. Rush Power Adaptor? Am I the only one that played MM6 and 7?? I feel like a rush/beat/auto super combo is too played out.

Yellow Devil? He was shown during the character trailer. Could be a game boss, but could also be the character's smash ball move.

This 100% guarantee's Mewtwo moveset will be returning for the next Smash Bros as this new Pokemon.

This new form of Mewtwo is going to be the star focus of the upcoming movie, making it the first major humanoid Pokemon of X and Y.  was the star of the first Diamond and Pearl related movie and the first major humanoid Pokemon of that gen making him the choice for Smash Bros.  So basically this new form is that Pokemon I was talking about, so yeah, he's in.

Except your whole reasoning is flawed. Mewtwo is the star of the next movie, not this new Pokemon.

There is a poster going around that replaces Mewtwo in the movie poster with this "new Pokémon"... not only that but the poster was leaked before this announcement, so many thought it was fake until this made the rounds.

That pretty much seals that:

a. he will be in the movie
b. he is likely a form that Mewtwo changes into during the course of the movie (probably like Giratina's sky form, and if that's the case the name would still be "Mewtwo")

So my short lived Mewthree theory is dead.

Blasphemy. Mewtwo is fine just the way he is. My bet is that this is a genuine evolution of mew, rather than another form of mewtwo.

I'm still going to guess Mewthree, but in response to this post, it probably has more to do with Mewtwo than Mew. The upcoming Pokémon movie is centered around Mewtwo, and going from this announcement I doubt that's coincidence:

EDIT: Also, I'm guessing this greatly increases the chances of seeing Mewtwo back in Smash Bros.  ;D

Mew, Mewtwo ....Mewthree?

Might be a second clone of Mew. That would make it a new Pokémon, and I would be cool with that as long as it doesn't overshadow Mewtwo.

I hope not, really... if they are going to "HD remake" a Rare title, let it be one of the Donkey Kong Country titles please.

Star Fox Adventures got great reviews when it first came out, but most fans I have heard weren't won over. Not that I have much against Star Fox Adventures, other than not liking it much personally, but would much rather they focus resources on other titles for an HD remake.

Something about seeing Luigi Dude post about Smash Bros always brings a smile to my face... good times.

Anyway, slightly disappointed that no one has offered any representative from Advance Wars (not that I think the chances are that great, but surely I'm not the only one who loves that series and would like to see it get some representation in Smash).

Mariokart has become a main property for Nintendo.
When u talk about the big guns, people say Mario, Zelda and metroid.
But you really should now say Mario, MarioKart, Zelda.

If you are talking overall system selling, and unit pushing ability, Nintendo's top tier would be Mario Bros, Pokémon, Mario Kart and Wii Sports.

The Zelda series is Nintendo's critical darling, and beloved by gamers rightfully so, but doesn't do the sales numbers or move systems like the others (although Wii Sports only has two games to its credit so far).

Graphics aren't impressive, but then its a DS game. Either way, if we do get this, day one purchase for me.

This better leave Japan. I'm digging some of the older Pokémon getting focus which had been slowly sifted to the way side of late, like Mewtwo and Articuno.

I do wish they'd reintroduce more of the "obscure" characters before representing a more prominent title with two (or more) slot though.

Rocket Raccoon and Phoenix Wright don't fit that bill? If you are fan of obscure, Capcom made 'Tatsunoko vs Capcom' just for that and it makes the game feel very different.

If anything, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 needs more prominent characters right now. It still lacks Megaman and still has no additional characters from the Spider-man franchise.

Either way, if this comes to the Wii U, I will eat it up like candy and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it does.

Almost all live action movies have 3D added in post production because it is very expensive to film in 3D. I think Avatar is the only one.

Both big and small budget films have been filmed in 3D that are live action (ala Piranha 3D for a cheapie), here is a list:

In terms of 3D, its in the decline in the US rather dramatically for theatrical movies. It helped out Harry Potter and Transformers, but has been very weak on films like Cars 2 and Green Lantern and most other examples past Thor (which was only 60% opening weekend).

The reason 3D is here to stay, though, is because in the international market outside of the US, 3D is huge right now.

As someone who has played Ganondorf as their primary character for two games now, I would be quite sad if they got rid of that character type... because its dramatically different from Captain Falcon.

Still, I think the better solution would be to give it to Black Shadow or someone from that franchise.

Let's not forget about Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (3 has less, but none are clones) either... :

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is, according to that game's own intro movie, the fourth installment in that series:

1. X-Men vs. Street Fighter
2. Marvel vs. Street Fighter
3. Marvel vs. Capcom
