General Gaming / The PSP has caught the adult eye
« on: March 22, 2005, 08:30:28 AM »
I was heading to the electronics section at work the other day, while two of my fellow work buddies come up to me and say "Have you seen the PSPs we got in? Im definetly going to buy one thursday." I asked them why out of interest and they stated how they loved the graphics, the movie and music option, the slim look, and the games at launch(mainly for them NFS Rivals.) Which suddenly hit me: The PSP has perfectly appealled to the average adult in general. These were people who normally seem to care less about games and more about sports that have been lured easily by Sony's mature look. My original theory was that because the PSP was a mature system, it would run into problems attracting the right addiance, but the straegy is working wounderfully for them.

Nintendo Gaming / Zelda release date?!
« on: March 07, 2005, 09:31:46 AM »
Off of http://cube.ign.com/release/ a Zelda release date has been set for June 1 2005. While i highly doubt that it will be this exact date, could this mean that we may not have to wait for the new Zelda by Christmas?

Nintendo Gaming / Link should LVLup in LOZ
« on: December 09, 2004, 07:57:19 PM »
I think that would be cool to see Link gain more attack power, magic, and health by attacking stronger enemies rather than hunt down pieces of hearts in the new LOZ. That would be cool to see.

General Chat / DS games from Blizzard?
« on: October 21, 2004, 08:23:03 AM »
I just wanted to know if it would be possible to put any of the Blizzard games like Warcraft, Diablo, or StarCraft onto the DS. I'vw been thinking that Blizzard could find a good way to do it with the touch-screen and the pen.

General Chat / Nintendo really wasn't kidding....
« on: October 11, 2004, 08:05:40 PM »
I looked into the new issue of Game Informer the other day, and i saw the first game for the PS3 and XB2 called Elder Scrools 4. They made a big deal about the graphics, but if you ask me, they dont seem much of that big of a deal. The game looks identical to the upcoming EverQuest 2 if you ask me. So I really gotta wounder if an average gamer is going to want to spend over 300 bucks at the end of 2005 for a console that dosent show any big leaps in graphical improvments. Nintendo has been saying this from the start that graphics have hit their limit, and I think this proves them right!

Nintendo Gaming / XNA-Sony and Nintendo's doom?
« on: July 09, 2004, 05:57:20 PM »
After watching an article on www.microsoft.com/xna Microsoft may have a huge advantage in the next line of consoles. What is XNA? It is a development program that Microsoft is giving developers to make games faster and easier. The program takes care of the major problems that developers have been having while making a game, and allows them to have more time to make a good game. I was stunned when I saw in full motion a demo of 2 race cars go full force into eachother on how great the graphics looked. Iwata said that "the graphics wont matter" in the next systems, but I really think after watching that video they still may matter. The program will also give developers the oppurtunity to make creative and unique games easier. That is why people have been woundering why the heck Square-Enix would consider developing for XBox's next system.
What I'm worried about is how Nintendo will be able to compete against this.

Nintendo Gaming / Is SquareEnix ignoring GC?
« on: July 06, 2004, 08:37:00 PM »
FFCC came out in Febuary, yet I have not heard of another game they are making for the GC. What's the deal?

Nintendo Gaming / Why does Konami hate GC?
« on: June 11, 2004, 09:39:38 AM »
One company that I dont understand is Konami. They make tons of games on the GBA, but barely any GCN support. All I have seen from them are crappy Disney Sport games, and Twin Snakes which was done by Silicon Knights! Whats worse is after Castelvania sold poorly on the PS2, they decided that the next one will be on XBox's next system.WTF?! Nintendo fans love the series yet they basically refuse to satisfy the fans.

Nintendo Gaming / Where's Chrono and Mario?
« on: June 08, 2004, 10:16:10 AM »
There are 2 games on it that are needed in my collection: Chrono Trigger and Mario RPG. I do not want to pay 80.00 for each of them, many people are die-hard fans of the games, so what is stopping Nintendo to port them on GBA?!?!?!

Nintendo Gaming / Why do the Yugioh! games suck?
« on: December 21, 2003, 11:16:59 AM »
Not to say that they are all bad, (the GBA versions) but come on! The PS2 game was bad, this one was horrible, and so on. This is a big show and card game going on right now, so they should at least make a home console game GOOD.

Nintendo Gaming / Why no Mario RPG sequel?
« on: October 20, 2003, 06:28:10 PM »
Way back in the good old Super Nintendo days, Squaresoft (now known as Square-Enix) made a game with Nintendo. It was called Super Mario RPG. Many people consider this the best Mario game of all time. While I did not get the chance to finish the game, I fell in love with it at first sight. Then came the N64 days... the system had just about no RPGs, while Squaresoft made great games for the Playstation. Nintendo tried to help the drought with Paper Mario, which was originally going to be called Super Mario RPG 2. Now we are probablly more than half-way through the GameCube's life, and while the RPG lineup is better, Square is back with the company, there are still no plans to bring back the Mario RPG series. My question is simply why aren't they doing something about this? Sure Paper Mario tiself was a good game, but it was nothing compared to Mario RPG. Now that there is a Mario and Luigi game coming out, and a Paper Mario sequel announced, why aren't they working with Square on a Mario RPG sequel?

Nintendo Gaming / Mario 128 canned?
« on: October 01, 2003, 03:50:07 PM »
I was recently thinking at work the other day about Mario 128. Shiggy said that the game will be shown at E3 next year, and alot of people are expecting to see all of the new consoles by then. So I put 2 and 2 together: Is Nintnedo just going to move the next Mario game onto the new Nintendo system? It only makes sense to me! Nintendo is desprate to sell more GameCubes, and said that this time around, they would let Sony get a one-year advantage. Even if they did put Mario 128 on GameCube now, I don't think that it would help sales as much as it could rather than being put on the next system.
