Wow I got best team player!
Team is more my forte.
We still haven't done a 12 person friend match.I want to try to do that in the future.
Maxi is dead. I killed him and took his posts and changed genders.

I don't think we had more than seven at one time today so that would be tough. But we can try!

hey i thought me and Arkia had some decent teamwork going on in a few rounds! then again with no in game communication (maxi was the only one with wii speak on, not that i ever heard him talk) its hard to play as a team.

what exactly was the criteria i met to earn "goes it alone"?

I am such a casual Wii player. I needed splash damage weapons just to score any points. I need a plastic shell that holds the Wiimote and nunchuk together so I have a more stable handle.

It was ok. How can anyone have fun getting their butt handed to them? I was trying but sometimes I couldn't believe how easily I went down while my shots seemed like they did nothing.

I think I need to spend more time either tweaking the controls or just getting used to them. Everyone was jumping and shooting at the same time and I was having difficulty just keeping a bead without jumping.

Kinda reminds me of getting used to Quake3 on the PC. I had trouble jumping and gunning at the same time with mouse and keyboard, then I slowly got used to it and I was able to hold my own against the harder bots.

check out one of Pro's post where he outlines his control settings. My game improved 100% with his set-up. I went into the game last night thinking i'd be rusty after not playing since the last NWR meet-up, and being a little more used to Modern Warfares controls, but nooope.

If you ever wanna meet-up (online) for some practice games, lemme know.

Well Bustin98 It does take some practice to get used to the controls.Did you beat the single player yet? I think I beat the single player before playing multiplayer. Also with I am pretty used to Wii FPS controls dispite not playing many of them. Red Steel,Metroid Prime 3, and The Conduit are the only Wii FPS games that I have. I also am pretty quick when using the Internet channel.

You often went out to engage the enemy without your teammates to back you up.

I need a plastic shell that holds the Wiimote and nunchuk together so I have a more stable handle.

I've tried the Wii Zapper. I actually do better with Links Crossbow Training without that shell.

I'd like to be able to hold the two like this:

The issue with this (and the shell) is you can't shake the nunchuk, which for most games probably isn't much of an issue.

I think a shell like that to lock the Wii Remote and Nunchuk together is ultimately pointless, especially with the Classic Controller available. Though I also find it interesting that you want the two to be connected, as one reason I like the Wiimote and Nunchuk is the disconnected design.

Though I am somewhat surprised the Classic Controller doesn't have a slot in the top to put the Wii Remote. Then you could use the pointer with the Classic Controller, as well as having a place to set the remote so it isn't hanging or something.

frustration bump!

are there really still cheaters running online play? guess so Cuz I tried playing a match, ended up being 1v1 and the guy slaughtered Me with one hit kills, from a pistol, from across a stage. I hoped the second match would be better, but it was another 1v1 with a different player who would shoot multiple rockets at me. that was the first time I ever bailed a match.

ugh!

I've actually been wanting to get back into this game so if you want to we would set up a match some time.

Don't you have Modern Warfare as well? Mop it up and I are starting to play that together again now and it would be pretty coop to get an NWR group banded together on the same team fighting randoms.

I haven't completed MW:R and I haven't played it in months. I tried going online with it once, my first week with it, and it wasn't pretty. Even with such a short experience with it, I feel like I enjoy the Conduit's online experience much better. If something comes up, I'll try to play. Just shoot me a PM because I rarely ever check this part of the forums (or the forums in general anymore).

Reflex online is funner and safer for new and inexperienced players when you play team deathmatch with friends so you all are on the same team.

Since Wii games do not allow patches/updates, there isn't really anything they can do to stop hacking. There are some stronger hacks that can be detected, which will result in an IP ban, but these are things like modifying level data.

They could check for impossible situations (like too many rockets within a given window of time).

If they can do that, I wonder why they haven't? Hackers still get away with impossible situations in Mario Kart Wii, such as spawning more than one blue shell or Bullet Bill at a time, or placing their racer directly onto another player, glued to their every move. However, if a hacker tries to use a custom track online outside of a friend room, or uploads a hacked time trial time, they will be IP banned.
