Now if only it smelled like lavender too...

Japan's latest Nintendo 3DS colour, "Misty Pink", has been announced for an upcoming launch in Australia, to be released as "Lavender Pink".

The console colour will be available in stores starting from the 17th of November, giving just enough time to save up after buying one of these blushing babies to pick up Super Mario 3D Land on the 24th.

The Lavender Pink 3DS joins Australia's three existing colour choices, Aqua Blue, Flame Red and Cosmos Black, and will cost AU$249.95 ($260).

The two pics do look different. Is this due to the pics having different lighting or something, or is the colour coming out in Australia actually slightly different?

Will it be in North America before Christmas? (My girlfriend would love that color if I get it for her.)

The more saturated image was intended for print use, so its colors are a bit off, depending on which browser you're using.
