XS Games’ PopStar Guitar is dedicated solely to the pop music genre. The publisher recently announced that the game will feature hit songs from groups like All-American Rejects, Paramore, and Fall Out Boy.

The player  begins the game as a promising guitarist with dreams of competing in the "Battle of the Bands" contest and becoming famous. PopStar includes over 50 songs, many of which are original mastered tracks. Songs from artists such as 3 Doors Down, Miley Cyrus, Simple Plan, Rihanna, the Jonas Brothers, Maroon 5, and Blink 182 will appear.

Multiplayer gaming will be supported in its co-op Mode.
