yeah... that entire two part episode of doctor who takes place during a bombing run at the height the London Blitz and the cgi of things like barrage balloons and German bombers passing along  becomes very believable as well (partially because even during indoor scenes you can hear them whizzing along their merry way)

while many studios have dabbled in CGI
very few seem to be able to handle CGI well...

IMO the first rule of CGI is that it needs to blend with everything else in the film...

I recently saw the movie 'Monsieur Lazhar', which despite not having been re-dubbed in any way for the English speaking audience(although subtitles aren't that bad honestly) still carrys my full recommendation for its powerful character and subject matter

CG, while awesome in the present, never stands the test of time. Look at anything made two years ago. Hell, look at AVATAR, the most technological film in the past decade. It looks dated now.

I disagree...  this was made in 2005 in the first season of the revived series of doctor who(with not that much money  to spare on CGI)... and it still looks impressive to this day...

I bought ZombiU, but didn't much like it to be honest. It basically sold me because of Zombies were in it. I've never played red steel, but its always looked interesting. Last of Us looks cool as ****. It also looks better than a next generation games like ZombiU.

To put it in perspective...Last generation games on ps3 look better than WiiU games, and that is why WiiU is doing poorly. Nintendo did little to correct this trend at e3. Its hard to understand why a multi billion dollar studio is putting out the equivalent of a handful of indy developer class games on a platform that is quite powerful.

nintendo isnt doing that because making a game look that good brings us to the 3 million copies sold= failure  territory

those types of games have huge budgets and Nintendo isn't really in a position to hemorrhage money like that....

That's one hell of a business plan.
 

considering that in this day and age a game can sell 3 million copies and still be considered a failure it may not be that bad of an idea...

But unless Nintendo makes some effort to make porting games from other systems as painless as possible the chances of them turning to Nintendo are slim...

its moreso otherwise you almost forget they exist(warioware)
when I was making my list I was basically asking myself how much I really want to complete some of these games... to be honest some of them I decided that I really don't care if I complete them or not (Zelda 2, fusion if we never get restore points, and warioland 4)....

if I get a game I make a conscious effort to at least play around 15 minutes of it,  these are games that I have decided I want to complete and see to the end because I enjoy them but with new releases I have to put them aside and sometimes forget about them

Oh God I don't even bother any more.  I no longer make any apologies for what I've done.

This is what I am.
