It is Thursday once more, which means that new games and video have been added to Nintendo's downloadable game services across their systems. In total, six new pieces of software are available for download.

One of the highlights this week is a new video from DreamWorks. Titled Night of the Living Carrots Part 1, the short is based on the Monsters vs. Aliens universe, whose first appearance was in the 2009 film of the same name.

Three games have been added to DSiWare and eShop. The first of these is a Virtual Console release, Catrap. Originally released in 1990 by Asmik, Catrap is a puzzle platformer where players take control of a cat as he navigates through various levels. We at Nintendo World Report are overjoyed by the release of this game today, which we've dubbed Catrap Day. You can read all about it here. The game has been priced at $2.99.

The second game this week for both DSiWare and eShop is Furry Legends from Gamelion. Based on the WiiWare release of the same name, Furry Legends is a platformer whose main claim of fame is the physics presented throughout the game. These happen in real time as players explore the levels, which are presented accross four worlds. Furry Legends is available now for $4.99.

The third and final downloadable portable game is 1001 Blockbusters from Selectsoft. The object behind the game is to destroy the blocks seen on screen, on various worlds and levels. As the title states, there will be 1001 levels to play through. The game is available now for $1.99.

For WiiWare, one full game and one demo were released today. The full game is 101-in-1 Explosive Megamix from Nordcurrent. The game has already seen release as a retail game, but it is available now for download. Everything from sports games to puzzle games are presented throughout this title.

The demo is for FAST - Racing League from Shin'en Media. The original WiiWare release for this F-Zero inspired racing game was on May 30, 2011. The full game is available now for 1000 Wii Points ($10). The demo, however, is free of charge.

I'm pleasantly surprised with Catrap. I took a chance based on all the positive reviews, and it's a pretty great little download!

How come the Dreamcast video is nowhere to be found in Europe?
