I am addicted to the internet.
First off, I'm addicted to torrents. I download something new everyday. Even when I'm out doing God knows what, my computer is on, downloading the latest movie. It's become so bad that I have to delete files just so I can download new ones. For examples, my music collection has become so big, I had to put half of it on my ipod.
But that's not all, when I'm bored, I'll check out TV stream sites like justin.tv and ninjavideo.net and watch shows or documentaries. I can literally watch anything at anytime. And I do.
And then there's my productivity at work. During a given day I probably do a solid hour's worth of work. The other time is spent perusing through sites like this one, newscientist, bbc, cnn, imdb, rottentomatoes and so on and so forth; simply bouncing from article to article in the most random of fashions. Yesterday I read up on New Zealand for a 40 minutes. Why? Maybe because I want to go there, but mostly because it was interesting.
Then there's the communication aspect of the internet; the email, the skype, the facebook, the couchsurfers. I smoked a joint last week with my buddy in South Africa over skype, and it wasn't the first time, nor will it be the last. I check my email at least once a day. I facebook on the weekends to find parties. And I respond to requests to surf my couch at least 4 times a month.
And lastly, there's the porn. ================ ===== = ========== = = ========================= == = ====== nuff said ================ ============== ====================== =================== = ======
So yeah....I would call myself a genuinely active person, but even when I'm away from my computer, I still use the internet. I need help! I have a problem!
