Rule of Animu (and jRPG, especially Final Fantasy): Characters must be 17 years old, no matter whether they look like they're in elementary school or a veteran of several wars.

Thats not true because then you have the Pokemon series where everyone is 10-12 no matter how well endowed or like they are.

thats extrange, I thought Japan didn't mind stating the real age of these girls as opposed to the west, like Ashley from RE4, wasn't she really 15 in the original japanese version?

Age isnt what gets to me that bad with animes.  What I have problems with is the androdgenous qualities of some of the characters.  I hate having to find an anime freak just so I can know if its ok have dirty thoughts.
