It was amazing start to finish, but the space poop talk was one of the highlights!
It was such a thrill to see everyone being so nice to me, I want to tank you all from the bottom of my heart. It may not seem much but I sincerely appreciate it! I'm happy to be a "telethon tradition" as someone called me and it was great being able to be on the show. Even though you can hear a very big difference in my voice from the first hour to the thenth  :P:  I tried to add to the discussion about the Mario movie but I was really tired and I couldn't find the words easily, plus I'm not used to podcasting so I accidentally interrupted someone and I'm sorry!
The live chat in the IRC was wonderful, the metagame during Radio Trivia was so much fun! I cannot wait for the next live show, congrats to everyone in the staff to have pulled off such a great task successfully and for raising over 7000$ for the kids.
Too bad this time I didn't have the chance to win a prize, that Ducktales physical copy looked schweet, but I honestly cannot be happier about yesterday. I mean, I got to speak with you guys and Greg again, how awesome is that?  :D
Next goal: be a guest on the show. Will I ever make it?who knows!but one can dream, eh? hahaha
cheers to all!

PS: jonny I still have those steam codes to donate, you guys can use them in a future occasion, write me on twitter whenever you want and I'll pass them on to you ok?  :cool;

Oh my God, it's already past 2000$! Thanks to all the people who donated!
This live show is the highlight of the RFN year and it gets better and better every time!
can't wait for it to start :D

it is hard to make any more comments than the others already (very well) expressed here. I'll add my personal feelings about the game. This game is a big part of my childhood, I played and loved 2 but I've always found 3 better, it was everything I loved from 2 but more and better. Loved the bosses, loved the return of the old ones (I'm a sucker for that kind of things!) and I even loved Protoman. Yes one could argue that there was the opportunity to do more with him but I liked how the game introduced us to this misterious new character and even developed a story in a very 8-bit 20 years ago kind of way :)
It is a game I still play from start to finish every now and then, I have a lot of nostalgia for it that's true but I also think it made a lot of things right. You could argue about 2 over 3 and viceversa, but I believe it's pretty easy to agree on that period being the pinnacle of the 8-bit Megaman era.

Last night I did the first bosses, in order Top-Shadow-Gemini. Having Rush Marine (you get it with the Shadow Blade) is useful in Gemini Man's stage, maybe the water section there is the only reasonable use for the whole thing. Too bad because I've always liked it! Top Man was very easy, I know that level and the boss like the back of my hand. Shadow Man was pretty hard with the Mega Buster, I couldn't avoid his sliding charge. Then I used the Top Spin and after 4 (kamikaze) hits he was gone. Gemini Man's stage is really cool once you get in the underground part. I've never understood why Proto in this one just stares at you, then opens your path and goes away. The coloured tiles in the background are always nice to look at :) The boss isn't really hard, shoot him to the left and then jump carefully to avoid him, once the clone is gone unload the shadow blade on him with fury!
Now I'll do Snake Man and Needle Man. I can't wait to get to the old MM2 bosses part :D

This will be my first time doing retroactive and I'm looking forward to some good old mega man challenge. I will be playing this on my brand spanking new 3dsXL!  If memory serves me right is this the Mega Man game with the glitch in Gemini's board when you fall down a pit but never die?

congrats for your new jewel first of all :D
I don't know about that glitch, but in the Gemini Man stage you meet Proto Man and they just stare at eachother for a while, then he leaves. The other times you always fight. I always wondered why that happened :P

I am playing it on the NES and I usually go Top Man-Shadow Man-Gemini Man as a starting trio. Don't know why but I've always beaten those 3 in the beginning in that order :P
I love the sliding, and I love the music in top man's stage :D
boy this is going to be FUN!

I voted for Megaman 3 because not only is my favourite BUT it's got great levels and the megaman 2 bosses revisited in the extra stages PLUS protoman PLUS rush. so I really hope it wins so I can play it with you and contribute to the discussion.

One of the main reasons I got a 3DS. I can't wait. If it's half as good as TYD on gamecube it's still gonna be awesome!

Oh yes, so glad to see it hitting the net so soon :)
amazing job Karl!
I'm curious to listen to my call (I was excited and I spoke with a higher tone than my usual...hope I don't sound "in falsetto" lol) all the NWR guys were so good to me, and my time in Jeopardy...it was 1.30 am for me and I was sooo sleepy, thanks to the guys who understood my state and asked me easy questions. By the way, I knew the second one was Pacman Vs (E3 2003) but I got distracted by the laughter in the background, I tried to ask if the question could've been repeated for me (wanted to be sure) but they changed it. well thanks again guys, it was super fun! I hope it was funny to listen to a poor guy who should've been in bed 2 hours earlier than that :P
I woke up at 6.20am that day (I have a bit of a commute to get to work) and it was so hard but I did get to be there for the whole thing...it lasted until 3am so I was awake for about 21 hours straight!
It was totally worth it, and I hope you guys appreciate my support  ;D

nice tip, thanks andy, anyway I'm still annoyed by how often I have to recenter my pointer, especially using some items (i.e. the leafblower-thingy)

All right, after opening the scene last year being the first ever call-in on the show, and after being on again for the live anniversary special, tonight I'm going for the 3 in a row :)
that's right, fire up your skype because Luca from Italy, the guy who lost a prize thanks to Milon's Secret Castle, the guy who did a Mario impression to say "Happy Birthday" to RFN, the one with the weird european accent (does a european accent even exist, or is he just plain terrible at English? :P) IS COMING BACK IN TOWN! YAY!

:D

seriously, I can't wait, I hope to be able to talk to you guys again and this time I definitely hope to be more relaxed, the other times I was so excited I could barely speak!
