I'm curious if anybody has made any of these sandwiches themselves.

Have you ever looked at one of your sandwiches and asked yourself, "Have I gone too far?"

I asked myself that very question tonight. I still feel full and bloated and I just got back from exercising. And I only ate half of it!

My goal is to get featured on a food blog. I have submitted to "This is why you're fat" a couple of times. Does anyone have any food web site recommendations?

Piff, I eat manwiches

I don't go to Jersey if i don't have to, it smells funny...

LOL. It's funny cuz it's true.

See Mr. Jack gets it. The second you're anywhere near the Jersey Turnpike you best roll up the windows cuz you're in for a smelly ride. I remember having to drive my friend to PA and mapquest took us from the George Washingtong Bridge (NY) where it smelled like.. any other place in NY, and then to the Jersey Turnpike (..duh) where it smelled funny AND we got stuck in traffic.

I went to mexico a few years ago and we stayed in some of the more rural areas, so when we were on their long roads every few mins we'd drive be some open sewage drain/ditch and it smelled horrible. Thats what driving in to Jersey (From NY anyway) smells like. Its wretched.

Hey, don't judge New Jersey solely based off north jersey. The north is where we keep all the oil refineries/chemical plants/NY trash dumps. I live there for years and there's nothing wrong with me.

Nice job on sizing the patties - I hate it when someone cooks burgers, and shapes the patties to the size of the bun, before cooking. Then they throw it on the grill and burn the **** out of it, and it's like a piece of charcoal that takes up a small part of the center of the bun. Always make them about a half inch wider than the bun, all around, nice and thick too, and make that **** medium rare - medium at the most! Anything more than that and you're defeating the purpose of eating beef. Also, get lean beef. It tastes better, is better for you, is less likely to give you cancer after many years of grilling (the smoke you inhale from fat burning on charcoal, etc. is a carcinogen), and it doesn't shrink as much as regular beef.

A certain amount of fat is necessary for a burger to taste like a burger. Also if you are cooking on a grill, the lean burger has a tendency to fall apart and drop in the fire.

I find that average lean beef doesn't fall apart all that much while getting the uber-extra lean stuff always falls apart on me.

I didn't know burning fat was a carcinogen. Working graveyard shifts is also listed as a carcinogen. Sucks for me :/

Has anyone used ground turkey to make burgers? I've used it to make meat sauces and taco meat, but have yet to try it as a burger. Ground turkey is healthier than beef and I prefer the taste of it.

I buy 93/7 lean beef, it never falls apart, and it tastes better than any higher-fat burger I've ever eaten. I have a relatively new grill, with ceramic racks. I spray the racks with pan coating before I throw the burgers on, too.

I have a feeling the oh so scary carcinogens from grilling will be the least of your problems if you eat many of ShyGuy's burgers!

http://www.heartattackgrill.com/menu.html

Maybe ShyGuy can compete with them!

I found 10% or 15% lean ground beef to be the best.  Anything less I can't stand.
