There haven't been any new types since Gold/Silver. Crystal type? Digital type? Pokemon with three types? Just throwing them out here now.

Beauty type. Their specialty would be charming and confusing the enemy by striking poses.

That's a good idea. There are enough Pokemon that seem to specialize in charm like Togepi and that Pokemon that evolves from Feebas that it could be a feasible type. Digital seems to make sense with Porygon. There could be a legendary digital type monster that is a virus similar to how Deoxys is a virus except this one is man made like Mewtwo.

I'm thinking too much about this stuff...

Maybe the teen gamers of the PSX era have grown-up and have to deal with the real world now, pulling them away from game consumption.

The problem is the Japanese don't reproduce. Seriously, their population is declining...

maybe if they got out more instead of playing video games and making love to pillow & doll versions of anime characters reproduction wouldn't be a problem. Or maybe the Japanese women just need a new flavors to their menu.

But since all their men happen to be pre-occupied...

I recall reading that the expectations of men and women in Japan simply differ so they can't find partners. I think an influx of foreigners might actually fix that to some degree.

Well, I was hoping to go there at some point. I have a friend there and would like to visit them some time. If you go to Japan I'll come with you. I need to go back to learning Japanese.

I know of a friend that has the game. I could ask if he's interested in selling it, BNM. He mentioned that he was considering selling some of his gaming stuff. He keeps his stuff in really good condition.

For the time being I can't participate because I don't have internet for my Wii until I'm done moving. Maybe by the time Snipper's ready again I will be.

Oh, and Snipper, I'd go ahead and just start a new thread for the game. Since this one is just telling people they can start an unofficial Wi-Fi night it might be better to have a separate thread for the Bwii night. And once everyone agrees on a time you can change the thread title and alter the first post with all the relevant information people need like time, date and the FC's of people who are participating.

If that's a bad idea then let us know, mods, but it sounds like how y'all would have be anyway.

I say let it go. It's an older thread and I think most people have gotten their use out of it. I like to think of it like when the big kids leave the play ground so the little ones get to run out and do whatever they want there before dinner.

I completely agree, Kurisu. Dual moves would have a really fun twist on things. Though for balance you might want to limit the amount of dual moves a given monster could have at once to one or two.

I actually would have changed my vote at the last minute if I could have gotten to an internet hookup. His defense was pretty convincing and I wasn't 100% sold on him being mafia yet. We had too many of our 'suspects' coming up as townie from Vudu's searches.

Count me in. Sounds exciting, though I might have to back out or play a down low game for the first part because I have one wedding I am in on the 18th and another I am in on the 23rd. Plus rehersal dinners and stuff. After the 23rd it is smooth sailing for me.

I just realized something. They are going to remake Emerald, Sapphire and Ruby. At the current pattern they will release a new set of games after the G/S/C remakes and after those they will probably release remakes of R/S/E. Then another new set, then they will remake Diamond, Peral and Platinum. Then another 'new' set. Then they will re-remake Red and Blue since those were the classics. I'm even more disturbed now.

I think they should stop making a whole lot of new Pokemon and just make a set of games with a random mixture of the old ones. Give us a choice from a number of the old starters and give us a variety of the classic legendary Pokemon to catch. Then they could focus on other aspects of the game like STORY and GAMEPLAY instead of creating a fifth clone of Rattata or Pidgey. How about some new types? My guess for the big holiday game that Nintendo "warned" GameStop about is whatever Retro Studios is working on (hopefully an original IP).  It'll be well over 2 years since Metroid Prime 3 came out and a quality FPS for Wii made by Nintendo will definitely be something that your average GameStop customer will be excited about.

At this point I hope what Retro's doing isn't a FPS. We've already got The Conduit and Red Steel 2 coming this year, as well as maybe Modern Warfare 2 and anything else that may come out of E3 (I'm still holding out for TimeSplitters 4). While I'm sure Retro would do an excellent job, the FPS genre is covered this year on the Wii.

Yeah Retro needs to finish their Car Combat game.

And Raven Blade. That was the most interesting of their other work to me.

Sorry to hear about the death, Jonny. It's a tough thing to go through and I hope it didn't cast an overbearing shadow on the wedding.

Gold and Silver were fantastic for their time, but I'm not really excited about this.  It'll take something more complex than the standard Pokemon formula to get me into the series again...a "Pokemon Tactics," if you will. 

Pokemon has gotten way too complicated as it is. If you know whats up with all them monsters it becomes absolutely insane.

Yeah, I've read a few breeder/EV FAQs and the nuances are crazy. I could never get that into the game that way. It is very technical and very deep.

Um. I never received anything mate. The ONLY correspondence I had those whole game was GP telling me my (lack of) role.

I suppose I'd better apologise for my reckless PM. I made myself a target and also tarnished the reputation of innocent people who had every right to suspect me.

Hmm, I thought I did PM you. Maybe I just thought I did. I know at the least someone else was telling me they were talking to you by IM and you were saying you were innocent. I told them to tell you to contact me fast if you wanted to give an explanation for it.

Now that I think about it, the person who I was talking to about this MIGHT have been Dasmos, and since he was mafia he could very well have not told you to message me to ensure you were not exonerated.

I apologize, I jumped to some conclusions on that one and ignored Maxi's warnings about it. I think that was also part of the reason we went after Pap next was because of his name also being on your IM.

Sounds like a great rental from what I've read, the only negative is it's short and a bit to easy.  Hopefully they port Klonoa 2 too.

I'd rather they made a whole new one next if this one is successful but I'll be fine with a remake of number two since I never played that one either.

A brand new game could better take advantage of the Wii's specialties without feeling gimmicky.

I don't see much EXCITE from forum users here, usually people are all up ons when a new Advance Wars game is announced...

It's probably just Days of Ruin.  I don't think it ever saw Japanese release.

Yeah, when I read that I got all excited but then I remembered that DoR was the 2nd Advance Wars DS.

I'm pretty satisfied with Advance Wars and Fire Emblem on the DS so I'm hoping Intelligent Systems is working on a new Wii game right now. Is it known what they are working on? I'd like another Fire Emblem because those seem to push me to finish the old ones but something new would be cool as well.

Yep, $4.99 lol I'm still entertaining the thought of picking it up, because it seems like a pretty unique game. $49.99 was way too much to ask for a game i was on the fence about, now that its much cheaper i should give it a shot. Too bad Capcom won't see any of that money.

Find their corporate address and send them a fiver in the mail.

Hm, i would but they'd throw it towards funding of a mediocre HD game.

Find the address of someone on the actual dev team and send the fiver to them.
