Bungie's Destiny
« on: February 23, 2013, 02:47:06 PM »
This may seem a little far fetched but when I was watching Bungie's Destiny at the Sony unveiling I noticed something at 1:05 in the video.

My body is ready!

If this is some kind of hint of a Wii U version I would be very happy. Still, kind of a dick move to make this hint at a Sony event.

EASYCURE: I remember thinking(don't ask me why) this was a blond haired, blue eyed, chiseled athlete. Like he looked like Seigfried before he became Nightmare.

The guy texts "My body is ready" which is a Reggie reference.

I felt like I read else where that this game could be multiplatform. Maybe they pointed out the same thing. Going to look it up now.

Either way this gives me hope.

How nice would it be if the ps360 games weren't being ported to Wii U cause of little time but the Ps4 and 720 games were. I still think that's how things will fall.

The game has been confirmed to be multiplatform for a long time, it's also coming out on Xbox 360

I believe that was in the original Destiny reveal the previous week. Bungie just didn't bother to edit it out, not that they should have been expected to. It's already known that Destiny is a multiplatform release.

Mark 'Gaming Jesus' McDonald made an astute observation on the latest episode of 8-4 Play. He theorised that Bungie had taken all the criticisms of their facial animations to heart and opted to have no faces at all in Destiny, lol.

Activision is already cranking the marketing machine for this game. I went to my local boutique of electronics today and they had:
  • 2 giant posters covering the middle glass cases where the games are stored
  • A giant standee right next to the cash registers
  • The front magazine rack with nothing but Destiny boxart
  • Full shelves in both the 360 and PS3 sections with preorder boxes
And this is for a game that's coming in 2014 at the *earliest*.

Not only is there the Reggie reference but also a chain chomp soccer ball under a monitor. I find it odd to have two Nintendo references and none for the other manufactures.

Your right. 2 Nintendo references in this little preview. Hopefully it doesn't mean they are just fans but something is actually in the works for Wii U. It only makes sense that it should come to Wii U.
