Bit.Trip Runner2 Out in Europe, Not Yet in Australia

Australians get shafted even further, but can still get access if they want.

Bit.Trip Presents... Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien has now been released on the European eShop, although it is nowhere to be seen on the Australian one.

The game was originally delayed across Europe and Australia due to classification holdups. The European rating system has obviously passed the game, but according to the developer Gaijin Games, the Australian release has been held up even longer due to rating board issues.

In the meantime, Australians who want the game now can create a new profile on the Wii U with the region set to somewhere in Europe, which will allow access to the European eShop.

I didn't know it was that easy to get into another countries eshop, can I get my UK Wii U on the US eshop in the same way?

It's not new, it was the same way with the Virtual Console. It only works between the EU shop and the Australian shop. If I recall correctly though, everytime you switched regions, your Wii Shop Channel balance would drop to 0.

Yeah, it's pretty easy.

I remember when i bought NSMB2 digitally, i checked the price in almost every EU market available to find the cheapest one.

I ended up on buying it in Greece.

Even if i saved a few cents on currency conversions, i still dun goofed cause my shenanigans lead to the game not registering on Club Nintendo.

Yeah to access the EU eShop you have to create a new profile/Nintendo ID. Your eShop wallet on your regular account is unaffected. Once you have it all downloaded you can just switch everything back and log into your normal account.
