THQ Announces Bratz Girlz Really Rock for Wii, DS

THQ readies seventh Bratz game just in time for DVD and doll line by same name.

 The bestselling Bratz series will receive a new installment this fall on the Wii, DS, and PlayStation 2.  Bratz Girlz Really Rock will follow the storyline of the upcoming animated film and feature the Bratz characters performing music.  Players can practice in the recording studio or go on stage for a live guitar or keyboard performance of music from the DVD movie soundtrack.  The game will also feature make-up play and fashion design alongside 18 mini-games.  The mini-games include sky-diving, 18 hole mini-golf, and music and dance performances.

In the Bratz Girlz Really Rock video game, fans can play as Cloe™, Jade™, Sasha™ or Yasmin™ as they glam it up at Camp Starshine, a summer camp for the performing arts. When the girls befriend an accomplished ballerina, they join together for the performance of a lifetime in the camp talent competition. Players can practice in the recording studio or go on stage for a live guitar or keyboard performance of music from the DVD movie soundtrack. The makeover station provides players with realistic lipstick tubes and blush brushes to apply the latest make-up trends as well as cut, color and curling options for new hairstyles. With seven games, I wonder if THQ can boast that the series has sold a million units combined?

Maybe Bratz VIII will have a focus on ballroom dancing. That would be interesting. Also, swing, waltz, tango, etc would welcome the exposure.
